  1. Nice run by GTown here, that was a long 3 there.
  2. Is Hansbrough missing some teeth up front? I never really pay that much attention, but he looked like a hockey player when he was at the line.
  3. GTown-UNC is gonna be a real good game. This one will be tight down to the finish.
  4. 17.2 seconds left and Oregon is only down by 4. As much as I'd like to see Oregon upset Florida, I still hope Florida wins since I picked them to win the National Championship in my bracket.
  5. I hate him more than the plague. I cannot believe that backcourt violation call. Noah did touch the ball, but when they showed the replay it was clear that the Oregon player touched the ball last before he stepped over the line.
  6. And Hairston just fouled out.
  7. Speaking of Peyton, I believe I saw in the paper that today (actually yesterday now) was his birthday. At the end of SNL, they had a cake out there for him and Eli was on the stage as well.
  8. I remember back '03 when Berroa looked like he was gonna be KC's star player for quite a while, he's really taken a tumble since then.
  9. He wasn't good enough to beat out Luke Scott or Jason Lane. I'll take Floyd and Pagan over him at this point.
  10. With today's action, I've moved into a tie for 3rd in the NSBB Facebook Pool. I too have Florida and Georgetown in the final 4. My championship game is actually Florida vs. G-Town, with Florida winning.
  11. I see the Dolphins making a run at Carr, just like they did with Harrington. I don't believe Culpepper is fully healthy, and he's also getting up there in age. If he goes there, Carr should have an early shot at starting behind a line that is atleast a little better than Houston's. He'll also get to work with Cam Cameron who previously got to work with Brees and Rivers. Haven't the Dolphins rumored to be interested in Trent Green also? I believe so, they've also been rumored to be interested in Quinn if he falls that far. I guess they're really unhappy with Culpepper, and aren't sold on Lemon either. I think the best scenario for them is to sign Carr, and draft Brown. That will give them a decent young QB, and a good LT for that OL. Next year's draft will be deep with QBs (Brohm, Booty, Henne, Brennan plus any underclassmen that may declare) so passing on one this year is wise IMO. Yeah. I see them signing Carr and drafting an O Lineman or possibly trading down. They could use youth at a lot of positions, so trading down might be the best option. QB, RB, and interior OL are all pretty thin this year but outside of those positions this is an extremely deep draft. I think just about every team would like a trade-down right now. I know I'd love to see the Cowboys trade down, possibly even out of the first round completely.

  13. My favorite part of tonight's SNL is by far Carrie (and her gold skirt).

  15. I listened to the XM feed last year, but for the years leading up to that I had listened to the feed from mlb.com. I've always gotten the feeling that the draft is done via conference call.
  16. I'm 6/8 with Elite 8 teams (the two I lost were Texas A&M and Wisconsin). My final 4 is still intact, but both teams I picked for the national championship game got a scare today.
  17. This appears to be the type of game Butler wants though. I'm watching the Vandy/Georgetown game so I don't know the pace of the other for sure, but it seems to be a slow, low-scoring game - which favors Butler. What channel is the game on? I've got the Butler vs. Florida game on CBS, but that's it.
  18. It is only a 1-year $2.5 million contract, nice move by Jerry. Hamlin isn't a stud in coverage, but he's better than would we had and should be more than adequate with an improved pass rush. I like it because now Watkins has a year to to develop before we really have to make a long-term decision there. This makes things really interesting for the draft now. I'd like us to go with a bigger WR (Jarrett, Meachem, or Bowe). A NT would be nice but there does not seem to be a true NT in this draft, and especially not one worth a 1st-rounder.

  20. Is it just me or does he look really effortless in that one? Nothing wrong with an effortless swing. Mr. Pujols has that down to a science! Never said it was wrong. I was just somewhat surprised on how relaxed he looks. Nice hit, but his head is up and his eyes are not on the ball. I'll take it any day, but it would still be nice to see him work on the fundamentals.
  21. He's no smaller than Sproles, who was fine in 05. He had a broken leg last year, but I don't think that had a lot to do with his size.
  22. Ya, that's me. What's your handle over there? It is cowboysfan31. I think I've only got a grand total of 1 post...it took almost a month to get my account activated, so for the most part I've been a lurker.
  23. i don't think that you're a cleat chaser, but other than reiterating the fact that you know a football player, what are you trying to accomplish with this post? reiterating the fact that I know a football player? Dude, I know so many pro athletes it makes my head spin. When you're involved in SEC athletics for several years you are bound to know lots of guys who make it big. He's just one of those. What I WAS trying to reiterate was his humbleness. but apparently not yours, eh? Ass. That wasn't arrogance, that was a defense of you implying that I'm proud of the fact I know a football player. It's not a unique thing or even that big of a deal to me. Are you SillyRyno over at the FootballsFuture.com boards? The username and sig make me want to say yes, but I could be wrong.
  24. He's 6'6" 291lbs and runs a low 4.72 40-yard dash. He's also a high character guy which some teams value. I don't think he's top 5, but he could go as high as SF at 11 and I don't see him falling past Jacksonville at 17. He's probably the #3 DE in this draft behind Adams and Anderson.
  25. Meh. I have to put up with both the Astros and the Rangers being considered "home teams". Nevertheless, you have my vote. I'm in the same boat with the TV, but thankfully my local paper doesn't cover baseball outside of the local college. And yes Vance, you can count on my votes.
