    Brett Anderson pitches the 3rd and sails through easily. He had to make a defensive play on a slow roller for the 3rd out but looked ok afterward.

    Kyle Hendricks looks strong to start the season. Only needs 8 pitches for a 1-2-3 1st inning, and got a little defensive test by a Joc Pederson bunt attempt.

    If we're doing a deal with the A's for pitching, I would like to see us try to get Frankie Montas too. I think he could be a good multi-inning bullpen option.

    I wasn't really sure where to post this, but I noticed today that Jacob Hanneman and Corey Black are playing for Cangrejeros de Santurce in the Puerto Rico winter league. Their team has only played 7 games. Black has earned 2 saves in 4 games, Hanneman has only gone 2-25 so far.

    The Rangers outrighted their former closer, Shawn Tolleson, at the end of the season and he chose free agency. I think he could be an interesting bounce back candidate. He was really good in '14 and '15 before falling off a cliff this year. He turns 29 in January. Kris Medlen is another name that hasn't been mentioned. He has struggled as a starter with KC and is a few years older, but had some good years as a reliever with Atlanta.

    How bad did it look in real time? On the radio they were saying it was hit right off the inside of his right elbow.

    I'm listening to the WSCR radio feed and they've mentioned several times that the crowd is "charged up" tonight.

    I would be ok with that. I've watched almost every game this year on my phone without problem but it doesn't look like that will be possible for the postseason. The At-Bat app currently says there are no alternate feeds available for the game. Maybe the Apple TV app will have the feed. ...you do know that the regular-season mlb.tv subscription ended and that there is a postseason one, right? I don't know why the postseason one would be blacked out... I did pay the extra $5 for the postseason.tv. The radio feed works just fine but it still says the tv feed is blacked out except for international viewers. I tried accessing it through Apple TV and same thing, audio link works tv blacked out.

    MLB.tv will show individual camera feeds with no graphics but the FS1 audio. It's dumb, but better than nothing. I would be ok with that. I've watched almost every game this year on my phone without problem but it doesn't look like that will be possible for the postseason. The At-Bat app currently says there are no alternate feeds available for the game. Maybe the Apple TV app will have the feed.

    So it looks like tonight's game is going to be blacked out on MLB.tv because of the FS1 broadcast....does anyone know a workaround for this?

    Out of curiosity, can someone tell me why the last few tweets David posted just say "Loading tweet..."? I see this all over the board and it gets old after awhile. Some tweets I can read and others I just get the loading message?

    I guess I could have put this with prospects in the news but I thought it deserved a thread of its own. Enyelberth Pena, RHP for the DSL2 Cubs, was suspended 50 games because he tested positive for Nandrolone, an anabolic steroid that promotes muscle growth, appetite stimulation, increased red blood cell production and bone density. He is 20 and spending his 4th year in the DSL so I doubt he's much of a prospect, but I found it noteworthy. LINK

    With premium on the old boards we were able to see which thread and which sub forum users were most active in. It really didn't serve any purpose, but it was fun to look at. Will this be brought back eventually?
