  1. Does not appear it would have been behind Mooney, appears it would have hit him closer to in stride than anything, too bad, may have gone for some major yardage. Yeah from the angle I have been seeing, it looks like it would have been behind Mooney and that it was a bad throw. You also can't see that Montgomery goes and gets that ball when it's in the air (which is what he should do instinctually). But looks like a really good throw by Justin.
  2. Just saw the endzone angle and pretty clear Fields was throwing to Mooney, it was accurate, and Montgomery moved into the throwing lane (and jumped) as Fields is releasing the ball. Could you post a link of it? I'd like to see that play the way you are describing it
  3. To be fair, it would have been a bad throw to Mooney as well. He was crossing and looks like it would have been behind him. 4. Sanborn had 2 last week. The defensive line hasn't had a sack since Washington, though.
  5. 56 yard FG was as bad. 56 yard FG miss led to a short field for the Falcons with short time on the clock and them scoring a FG in a game that was won by 3.
  6. Conversely, they have outscored the opponent's offense 6 times this year and all of the last 3 games, and one of the 5 they were outscored was due to a 6 yard TD drive because of muffed punt. Yeah it’s funny. It’s a tank season but there is an alternate reality out there where the Bears are like 6-5 or 7-4 because they didn’t make a bunch of dumb plays to lose the game. But then again they made those dumb plays because they lack talent but you get what I mean. Imagine how different the narrative is if they’re 6-5 with Fields doing what he’s done. That's what gives me hope. They are losing close games and I believe that's a good sign for future success of young teams who are building. It should make a huge difference when they are able to field a professional defense and an offense that can execute a simple normal drop back pass.
  7. Right now, it's #3. Plenty of time to catch them. Sitting Fields will help this franchise in several ways. Well it would ruin my fantasy chances so.....

  10. The game basically came down to the horrific coaching decision to kick a 56 yard FG with like a minute left in the half to give the Falcons a short field to tie it up. Also the 14 QB carries in the 1st half is insane. 9 of those were called runs. And as much as Fields has been running, he's only run that much twice in FULL games. Exactly 14 vs NE. And 15 times vs Miami. Both those totals included a kneel down. He said his legs were shot after last week, so you run him 9 designed times in 1 half against the league's worse pass D? He was cramping all day and you run him the first 2 plays in the 2 minute drive? That's either negligent coaching or actively tanking at the expense of your QB.
  11. Yeah just you
  12. Looks like Schofield is starting and Jenkins is active.

    NFL Week 11

LOL no, but that team is just a mess. The top defense in the league they told us about before the season allowed 27 points, despite getting a redzone turnover and a stop inside the 2 on 4th down. And Rodgers was extremely inaccurate on some pretty pivotal throws, but I'm sure the WR wasn't in the right spot. I was reading that the Packers organization is actually blaming Rodgers for the slow development of their young receivers by not showing up for OTA's, and that his salary dictates he be there for all organizational functions. I've heard the media blaming him, but the organization doing so is huge. That's an ugly situation. I wouldn't be surprised if he retired. They certainly can't trade him. Going to be an interesting last couple months with them out of contention and apparently a rift with their QB. Honestly the best business move for them (if Rodgers doesn't retire) is to let Jordan Love get some play the last few weeks. See if he can play well enough for someone to trade something for him. They are going to have to go cheap on adding a WR, because they don't have the cap room (and there are no good FAs). They have to bring back Lazard, keep developing Watson and Doubs, but they probably need to add a Cooks or Jeudy via trade. A 1st round WR probably isn't a great move as they are already trying to develop those 2 guys and Lazard probably isn't a finished product either.
  14. if that's the case (and my impression was that his pass block grades were still bad but I could be wrong), I can't figure out why the hell his parents are suddenly looking for every opportunity to rip him on Twitter. Are they just mad he's getting all this positive attention? Granted, I'm not sure how long his dad's been ripping him like this. I didn't dive nearly that deep. Seems like a lot just today, though. I'm damn near certain those accounts are at the very least relatives...it couldn't be more transparent and would be a really weird bit for a 12 year old account with like 10 followers lol. My initial thought was the Mustipher's mom stuff was legit and the dad was a troll account made up by someone in response? I didn't look to see when the account was started or how many followers, but I wonder if the @ was changed to suspicious, yet ambiguous s_m_sr or whatever it is and someone is trying to keep the joke running.
  15. There's whispers that Velus may be in the backfield a bit this week. Sounds like for sure will be active on gameday, and I don't believe the Bears have added a RB to replace Herbert. Darrynton Evans is on the practice squad, but I believe they have til today to make that decision. I'm guessing Velus or Ebner on kickoffs. Pettis keeps punt returning, assuming he's active. I don't think Mustipher is being benched. IDK if Jenkins is going to be ready to play. And I think Mustipher has actually been decent (per PFF) since being benched for 10 plays. I'd probably just try any and everything at this point to see what sticks.

  17. Are there any keeper considerations? No
  18. So, I was offered a pretty interesting trade and need some advice. I'm a red hot 5-5 and was offered a trade by one of the other handful of teams separated by 0 or 1 games for 2nd place. I give up: Dameon Pierce and Elijah Mitchell I get: Brian Robinson Jr and Cooper Kupp I'm leaning toward no, because Robinson is a borderline starting option. Pierce has been in my flex most of the season. Mitchell coming back from injury and has McCaffery in the SF backfield with him, but Robinson has Gibson. So, that mostly seems like a wash. But the key is Pierce for Kupp. Kupp is out at least 4 weeks. That would put him back for the playoffs and give me an elite WR. But can I lose the 15-16 ppg from Pierce and even make it? Thoughts?

    NFL Week 11

I'm only seeing 3-4 feet. WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 3 feet in the most persistent lake snows. The heaviest snow is expected late Thursday evening through Friday night when snowfall rates could exceed 3 inches per hour. Snowfall totals of up to 4 feet will be possible if the main snow band remains stationary for longer period of time. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph with produce patchy blowing snow. Three inches of snow per hour for a whole day is horsefeathering insane though. LOL
  20. Lot of back end of the roster stuff going on. OUT Kingsley Jonathan- waived Khalil Herbert - to IR AJ Klein- waived IN Matt Adams- back from IR Justin Layne- claimed from NYG Taco Charlton- former Cowboy, Dolphin, Steelers, Chief signed
  21. Right now, QB runs have to be a larger part of the offense because Justin is behind a line that's incapable of consistent pass blocking. I think most of us get that, next season, behind what I would expect to be a much-improved line we'll see less of an emphasis on QB runs. i get the feeling he's one of those people that won't like any running whatsoever from the quarterback. i think he dislikes lamar as well. QB who couldn't run, hates QB who can. Ironical. I obviously disagree. Fields is taking fewer hits now than he was earlier in the year when he was just sitting in the pocket. His big hits he's taken are from throwing down the field. He's not getting hit much when he scrambles or design runs, because he's getting out of bounds or sliding, or just going 60+ yards and scoring a damn TD. Lamar has been pretty healthy, running around 17 games per year. He missed time last year because of a hamstring, not from bumps and bruises, and he's a smaller player. And yeah, this isn't the end game for Justin Fields. This is just something he can do. And something he needs to do right now out of necessity. And honestly, it's not really been excessive. He has 104 carries this year and only 1/2 the games are even over 8 rushes, none more than 15 carries (includes kneel downs). It's not like he's running 20x per game like a tailback. For comparison, Josh Allen has 3 games over 8 carries and he has a prolific passing offense.
  22. Bad news, Herbert is the team's best RB. Good news, maybe Montgomery will step it up now and Herbert only misses 4 games and then comes back and gives the Bears three 1000 yard rushers for this season! Also roster construction is a bit weird now. I'd imagine some practice squad guys will come up. But with these moves, the Bears have: 2 RBs 3 DEs 7 WRs 7 CBs Guessing we'll see Darrynton Evans added to the active roster. And maybe Jonathan is added to the PS and active this week, though he is actual ass cheeks.
  23. Yeah, the only wins this year are against teams that passed up Fields, or in the Texans case drafted another QB besides him in his class. Of course, the Dolphins did pass him up as well, but at least they have a QB.
  24. So "learning how to win" just means getting better overall? No. This isn’t baseball. The result of the game is not dependent on a series of 1 on 1 easily quantified contests. The clock matters. Situation matters. 2 minute offenses are not the same thing as the rest of the game. For a QB and a head coach in particular, it’s not just getting better at the sport overall, it’s learning how to win games. I agree with both sides here. The Bears are in a unique situation with the whole "learning how to win" thing. Because they have to figure out how to win when they are behind and everyone in the stadium knows they are throwing the ball and figure how to stop defenses that aren't going to be slowed down by playaction, RPOs and moving pockets. They have to figure out how to win by getting to the other team's QB despite 0 pass rushing talent and a very young coverage unit. But part of that is getting better. Getting better at playing, coaching, and more importantly, getting better talent. I have a feeling they will be able to manage situations better when they have better players.
  25. Fun game this week. If you like 1980s football, but with a superhuman cyborg QB....this is the game for you! Over/under on forward passes has to be less than 20. Passing yards o/u about 315. Rushing yards o/u....about 315. Bottom passing offense meets the next to last passing offense. Last passing offense meets last passing defense. Next to last passing offense meets bottom 5 passing defense. But hey, we have a pair of top 5 rushing teams! This is the Spiderman Meme of NFL games. Bad passing?- Cool, us too. Bad defense?- Cool, us too. Good rushing? Cool, us too. Team full of bad players signed or drafted by Ryan Pace? Cool, us too. Fun game for me, as my team plays my nephew's team! Go Pruitt! Go Bears!
