  1. Baez, Almora, bad Russell, and worse Montero have been playing a lot.
  2. Hey, I actually really wanted Valentine in the hopes that he's Draymond Green II. He's not, but he's a solid guy who's likely able to help right away.
  3. I'm not saying you're wrong at all, but I don't think you can say for sure Javy isn't starting on Opening Day which then removes a lot of your cross outs. I think you can rule out the possible best defensive IF starting in the OF, given he has only played there a couple innings this year with 3 guys on the DL. And I think the star player, Bryant, stays at 3rd unless he completely gives up the position.
  4. Got it! lol yes but one batter too late (I'm on MLB.tv so I'm probably a batter behind). I was being mainly facetious, though, both pitches are low in pitches at this point. well, you didn't say WHEN he needed the 1-pitch out. And yes, we are both being facetious.
  5. 10 pitch 1/2 inning 9 pitch 1/2 inning 8 pitch 1/2 inning
  6. Ah horsefeathers. Sorry guys.
  7. Jimmy Butler going to Orlando. Report: The Orlando Magic are acquiring Jimmy Butler from the Bulls, per @FisolaNYDN. (http://twitter.com/StatisticsNBA/status/746067014200897536?s=17)
  8. This actually looks like a pretty decent trade for the Bulls. Lopez is probably a similar player to current Noah, but healthier and not as good of a passer. Grant is a nice get. He has good size on the wing (6'5"), and when his minutes doubled in the last month of the season, he put 14.5 PPG, about 4 rebs, 4 assists, and shot 49% from the field at 37% from 3. Calderon is pointless, but also mostly harmless. Of course, this probably isn't good if you want the Bulls to tank. Still probably a team that can compete for one of the last 2 seeds in the East, or they could be a late lottery team like this year.
  9. IKR! He literally NEVER goes deep into games. I don't think that's what I said but keep being a douche. Obviously you didn't say the words that I posted. Jake has gone deep in plenty games, plus ya know 47-22.
  10. Ok Zobrist, you can be good again and stop rolling over on outside pitches.
  11. IKR! He literally NEVER goes deep into games.
  12. Love the Cubs making "double digit lead in June" roster moves. Idk if these are moved made if the team was normal record wise.
  13. It's because the Cubs are going to take the lead (probably by batting around) anyway and Strop's going to come in for the hold.
  14. Nobody can pull the ball against Garcia. Bryant's double is the only thing pulled with authority today.
  15. I can't answer that because I'm biased but I imagine it will go back to arguing between the 96 Bulls, 86 Celtics and this Warriors team. The Warriors excuse is that their MVP was never the same after being hurt but I think this team just didn't look the same as the playoffs went on. As a Bulls fan I will say something like 'yeah the Bulls only won 72, but they then breezed to the title, going 15-3. The Warriors won 73 but it took so much out of them they struggled through the playoffs and eventually fell one game short.' How much of an argument does the 2000 Lakers have. 56-26 regular season, but 15-1 in playoffs with 9 double digit wins.
  16. This may be a preview of a very popular (and good) 2017 Cubs lineup, but it still doesn't have a guy who OPS'd .842 as a rookie, with 5 playoff HRs at 22 years old; nor a guy who OPS'd 1.7 in the playoffs last year and 1.084 for 2 weeks before he got hurt.
  17. Proud Father's Day moment yesterday. I was watching ESPN before the game last night and they had players talking about their fathers. They show Kris Bryant talking about his dad, and my son goes "Hey, is that Kris Bryant?" Mind you, my son is 6. He does some beginning reading, but very good for his age. But his name was not on the screen anyway. He has never really been into baseball really. He'll casually watch with me as I have the Cubs on the computer. But not very attentively. So, it really surprised me that he knew Kris Bryant and it was pretty awesome.
