  1. For those not watching wgn, this is the first time in baseball history that someone has hit three dongs and two half dongs in the same game.
  2.
  3. The whole stranding every single one of his 18 inherited runners goes against my irrational hatred of Wood. That double reinforced it, though.
  4. Is that good? I feel like that's pretty good.
  5. There's no email validation. You can put anything in there after each block of five votes and stuff the ballot as much as you want. I just put in about 50 or so votes for (Cubs - Montero + Posey).
  6. huh...so this is why developing in javascript is such a pain. It works in Chrome. It works in Edge. It works in IE. It doesn't work in Firefox. For now, you'll have to use a different browser for the ranking page. I'll try to get it fixed asap.
  7. That's young compared to Nathan.
  8. The biggest difference between the approaches being discussed is how much weight is given to recent performance vs previous information. There aren't really any right or wrong answers.
  9. None that I've heard yet.
  10. Totally. I work in analytics and really dig that kind of stuff. It'll be real cool to see exactly how public perception of a guy changes. The recent articles around here have been top quality, and I'm guessing the analytics that come from this ranking tool will be a great addition to the nsbb content machine. This is my first real project in javascript - I can't wait to dive into D3 and start using some of the chart types they have in there.
  11. How are you getting multiple entries for each guy? I saved once without Contreras in there, once with him in there, then did again with the "Overwrite Today's Previous Entry" button. Is it creating multiple entries? It shouldn't be - I thought I had any bugs worked out of there. But I'll run through it some more tomorrow.
  12. Is this still the link to use to make our own rankings? Yep - Can't wait to see yours!
  13. Yeah, we'll rank him until he's not eligible. Done How are you getting multiple entries for each guy?
  14. btw - the really fun part to me about doing it this way is when I start to get trend charts up to see guys like Albertos shooting up the rankings with each start (hopefully).
  15. Yeah, figured he's up for good and wanted to see Jimenez at number 1. But I'll put Contreras in at number 1 if we're still ranking him. Yeah, we'll rank him until he's not eligible.
  16. I was just checking out the new entries in the rankings. Thrilho - did you mean to leave out Contreras?
  17. Thrillho, Can you send me a PM with how you got your entry to be duplicated like that? I've gotta squash that bug. Thanks!
  18. Does anyone have any further suggestions to improve the input side? If not, I think I might just change the text there and start working on beefing up the analysis side.
  19. I need a wee bit more than 156 PA from Rice to move him up that high. But he's definitely got my attention at this point.
  20. I got that working. I like that a LOT better.
  21. I'm also trying to decide on how to best handle allowing people to enter in different numbers of prospects. My thought is that I'll allow up to 50 prospects to be entered. A number one ranking is worth 50 points, number two is worth 49, etc. That way guys that make the list at all get rewarded, but making one list at #30 is worth less than making 30 lists at #50.
  22. I've been trying to think of an easier way to do this... What if you could click a button to load your last entry?
