  1. lol - Soler almost ran in too far on that ball.
  2. He's the one who pitches like Zobrist throws right? Almost an over exaggerated over the top motion. Yep
  3. huh I guess we need someone to pitch for Iowa. That rotation has been in shambles all season long.
  4. Even the outs are hit really hard right now.
  5. That's a damn shame for him. For the Cards, it definitely highlights the "value" of spending most of your first round picks on pitchers.
  6. Operation Shutdown. -- eta Until he gives it a codename, it still isn't #1.
  7. Yeah, pretty much this. Though I can't decide if I'd rather have them lose every single game from here out or build up a solid lead on the wild card only to blow it in the last week of the season. Both would be delicious.
  8. No, I am saying that losing 40 percent of your division lead in four games is meaningful. To give a good idea on what it would mean if we got swept by the Cards... Right now, we have an 11.5 game lead on the cards and Fangraphs has our playoff odds at 100.0% and our division odds at 99.5%. Washington has a 7 game lead on Miami (and 9 on the mets) and their playoff odds are at 99.7% and their division odds are at 97.1%. It wouldn't feel good to get swept. But it wouldn't change our postseason odds very much at all.
  9. still waiting on my content summarize his first Kyle Hendricks article without looking it up. Kyle Hendricks: Surprisingly good.
  10. On the other side, Hendricks with just 23 pitches through 2ip.
  11. SP O. De La Cruz 5 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 9 K, 1 HBP, 1-2 GO-FO, 69-45 pitches-strikes So, less than 14 pitches per inning, but almost 2K per inning. That's actually pretty efficient.
  12. I thought you said he might be broken. :)
  13. I keep saying that I'll add it if you guys can find the extension.
  14. He's an awful person, but damn is he fun to watch pitch.
  15. Give some credit to one of the top three pitchers in baseball.
  16. Yep: http://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=all&stats=pit&lg=all&qual=y&type=8&season=2016&month=33&season1=2016&ind=0&team=0&rost=0&age=0&filter=&players=0&sort=16,a
  17. Have I ever mentioned that I'm really happy Dex is back?
  18. Anyone else expecting a 4k game from Javy tonight?
  19. TT's favorite trade target for several years, Danny Duffy, has a no hitter through 7 with 14 k's
