  1. stupid shitty hotel connection making it hard for me to manage traffic.
  2. The hotel staff just knocked on my door asking me to keep it down. :)

  4. Javy was out. It was the right call. Does Francona let Tomlin face the heart of the order in the third?
  5. Minnesota looks horrible.
  6. Still just exhibition, right?
  7. I was just thinking that if you're willing to take the risk on a random drug test during the season, it is possible that there is a deeper problem than recreational use during the off season. Obviously, impossible to know from the outside.
  8. I can't understand this viewpoint, and it is becoming more and more common. Someone help me. Using cocaine does not make you a bad person who deserves to have bad things happen to them. A lot of people will hear "coke in his system" and automatically write somebody off as garbage who deserved whatever happened. Somebody can be shot and killed and if it comes back that they had a drug in their system people will blame the person who got shot for getting shot because a lot of people are dumb. This is true. But it is also true that doing coke, being drunk and speedboating near the shore at night is incredibly stupid and dangerous to their own group and anyone else who happens to be nearby. It might not be quite the same as driving your car while being coked up and drunk because of lower risk to others, but it is pretty close. I don't look at him as a bad person for being drunk. I don't look at him as being a bad person for doing coke - though he may have had a problem that needed treatment there if he's doing it mid-season. But the combination of activities causes me to look at him very much the same as Taveras.
  9. All true. But I'd rather have him end his career by driving in the winning run in game 7. And catching the final strike and then being part of the pitcher/catcher embrace that will be one of the most iconic moments in sports history. With Chapman.
  10. All true. But I'd rather have him end his career by driving in the winning run in game 7.
  11. Neither was strike three to Bryant Fair enough. But, that was our best chance. :( I think you guys have gotten the worst of the zone today. Not quite as bad as it was for us in game 1, though. btw - good to see ya, Mike.
  12. Let Chapman start the ninth, but have Strop ready
  13. Overlooked is that was one hell of a snag by Rizzo to save extra bases.
  14. This is why the Cubs gave up Torres and more. Gotta trust the horse.
  15. I have as much faith in CJ this inning as Lester going through the 7th.
  16. baserunner! Now, hit it a bit further this time Rizzo
