  1. I only want the Sentinels if they use the robots from Days of Future Past as the logo
  2. Given that the embed code calls for a particular tweet, I'm not sure there's anything from this site that can be done about that.
  3. Contreras is going full beast mode this year.
  4. I'm just hoping that it leads him to accept a lower-priced deal than he should take.
  5. They vastly prefer three game series
  6. My first thought is: Minch thinks he throws harder than Marquez?
  7. So you're saying we've got a chance...
  8. https://www.instagram.com/p/CBdJFnEh__6/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link He says he signed.
  9. He's clearly not a good cultural fit. Maybe they'll take Zagunis as a return?
  10. Couple more signings: Bailey Reid: https://athletics.westmont.edu/sports/baseball/roster/bailey-reid/7722 in 2019+20, Reid had: 22.1 IP, four singles allowed, two doubles allowed, 1 run, 0 earned runs and 43 k (and 16 walks) Reid is a senior sign out of a 4yr college. Jacob Wetzel: http://fccathletics.com/sports/bsb/2018-19/bios/wetzel_jacob_ommj Wetzel just crushed at that community college. A .377/.510/.667 is really good at any level of competition. Plus he struck out 16.2 batters per nine innings as a reliever. So I'm guessing he's got a plus arm in the OF And he hit six dongs and stole 14 bases (2 cs) Wetzel is a freshman sign out of a CC. Both seem like nice gets.
  11. I had to look it up, but we actually did get him a couple years later. He played at West Tenn as a 22 year old and hit really well (.310/.375/.432). Then he completely flamed out at Iowa the next year and he was never the same after that.
  12. I'm pretty sure Melian was a very highly regarded prospect at the time. He flamed out, but would have been a nice 4th piece at the time.
  13. As always, an invaluable link this time of year: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/1/d/1R9hzhGo0Q_29g2bfa2yQwHYqNN799JzkCP7HyK-XCKY/htmlview#
  14. Seems like a great time to sign Javy to a big extension and then get him on the phone to all these guys. :D
  15. lol - I had the exact same thought when I read that. Benjamin Rodriguez http://www.milb.com/player/index.jsp?sid=milb&player_id=675851 I'm assuming Eric is referring to this guy in our system. Just accidentally replaced the 'g' with a 'q' I think. I don't know of a "Benny Rodriquez"... That's...someone I had not paid any attention to whatsoever.
  16. Cal or anybody, fangraphs references the Cubs strength program having helped Brennan Davis, Benny Rodriquez, and Cole Roederer. Who is Benny Rodriquez? lol - I had the exact same thought when I read that.
  17. I take it you weren't a big fan other than Howard.
  18. I like the potential of both of the lefties. I'm glad the Cubs have confidence that they can take these power guys to clean up some of the rough spots. Really, they've gone with pretty big upside in all four picks if you value relievers a lot in the modern game.
  19. So...if the lottery goes as expected, the Bulls would draft...7th?
  20. Funny...I'd like to see him sign a 6yr, $150M contract with the Cards.
  21. The last couple years, they had some really interesting NDFA. How is this year's batch?
  22. Back to back guards. I guess that's how you get "plenty" of OL help late in the draft.
  23. I think you guys are going way too binary with the hit/miss thing.
  24. Based on projections, couldn't they have traded down from 43 and still gotten Kmet? I mean, I guess someone has to be willing to trade.
  25. That doesn't seem to be the problem. I can click on the "Loading tweet" link and see the tweet on Twitter (where I'm logged in) Maybe twitter is just angry with you for bagging on it for years and years.
