  1. First year I've seen it monitored:
  2. Interesting take because the Fangraphs ZIPS & ZIPS DC forecasts aren't kind to him for the remainder of the season:
  3. Welp, that's a wrap on a truly brutal & terrible effort. They are looking down the barrel of a 2-8 streak if the Braves sweep us outta town, which is highly probable. Nico & Swanson can't get back fast enough. As bad as that slop was today the lowly Pirates were like 2-17 with RISP IIRC. We're getting nothing from 5-9 in the order and that Happ extension is looking like a terrible overpay. This streak of terrible O, D, & BP has to end at some point.
  4. It seems like everytime they sign someone or bring them up they hit well for all of a couple of weeks and then look completely overmatched. See Wizzy, Mastro, & Busch as recent examples.
  5. Well, that a was refreshing win. As usual the starting pitching was great from Imanaga. Let's hope that game winning hit gets Morel going again, as we could sure use his bat. On to the next one and let's get a split.
  6. I usually go with the ebbs & flows of the season, but yeah lately the lineup is a bunch of junk: career minor leaguers & scrap heap pickups.
  7. Whoa, our "Murderer's Row" ain't impressing anyone yet again.
  8. I must admit, it's been an incredibly bad year (or unlucky) for injuries. Just have not been healthy.
  9. I mean I could literally find things to moan about but it's still early for this group. But one thing is for sure, the Prof is toast now. It just makes no sense to run him out every 5th day and toss BP, assuring yourself a loss in the process. If Wicks or the other pitchers were healthy and Adbert had not blown all those games we'd be seeing a 7-10 game swing. We could literally be between 32-13 to 35-10 quite possibly, but maybe that is too extreme. Just like I suspected, it is going to be really hard for the Prof to let go:
  10. Welp, they are trending badly in the wrong direction. At some point the starting pitching is bound to come back to earth and when that happens, yuk!!!
  11. Thoughts? Crochet would definitely help the rotation but Robert is just too injury prone (pass on him).
  12. Happ & a few more have been hopeless at the plate for weeks now, no pun intended. YEESH!!
  13. Equtes to about 2.5 runs PG, but that has to improve. Obviously many things occur during the seasonal ebb & flow of MLB offensive output. There is this also:
  14. We shall henceforth be known as "MLBTRADERUMORSNBB.COM". 😉😉
  15. Yeah it is possibly nitpicking considering the fact he should start to get better pitches to look at once Seiya & Belli return. To be fair, quite the majority of the lineup is hovering near the Mendoza line the last 7 days. Great game by Imanaga though.
  16. Looking ahead it would be good to have that advantage against the Brewers with the suspensions. You take adavantage of any opportunity regardless of how they come about.
  17. Another winnable game pissed away with some awful RISP and defense. I can't put all the blame on Adbert for that HR though, he should have been out of the inning. But what was supposed to be our calling card this year of not losing but winning games with up the middle D has just been terrible. With regards to Adbert, maybe something is mechanically or physically wrong with him. But having said that, he is going to get more opportunities to turn this recent bad stretch around, hopefully he can have a nice run of 10-15 appearances with good results. Every game counts but to be 18-12 at the end of April is much better than 12-18.
  18. Heck, if by some chance Taillon has turned it around and Wicks finds his footing, you've got a damn good starting 5 with Wesneski, Assad, & Brown providing excellent spot starting capabilities. Busch showed some life after a mini slump, as did Morel. PCA has been great but the league will catch up to him shortly. Better he gets timely hits now while he is filling in than later when Belli and Seiya come back.
  19. Good game & Tauchman, Belli, & Wicks came through. Belli's 7 day splits are encouraging:
  20. Can't pin all that inning on him but he has a tendancy to get hit real hard 2nd-3rd time through the order. This game is not looking good already.
