    That site is now saying Hank Goldberg has reported on WQAM in Miami. He was the fat bald guy with glasses on ESPN for a while. Seems like a good fellow.

    i am watching the wire, rotoworld, the Miami Herald, and 2 of the TV stations in Miami. No one has any info as of yet. The Nascar penalties for the 24 and 48 teams just came across though. So the wire at least is working.

    i think that depends on the type of waivers they clear and whether they have a major league contract. Usually if they have a ML contract, they have to be on the 40.

    Per Rotoworld. Looper is doing better with the rest, should be started against the Reds this weekend. Molina took batting practice yesterday, should be ready to go this weekend. Eckstein will take batting practice today. If he is good to go, will be activated on Friday for Reds series. Toma Ohka also threw 8 IP at Memphis yesterday and gave up 3 earned. he should be up soon as well.

    yes, unless one of the guys who currently is on the 15 day DL is moved to the 60 day DL. Blanco would be a candidate for that if he failed his test this morning.

    geez. all the guy does is go out single handedly (with a tip of the Cap to the Starting Staff which was lights out, but you know that Pitching and defense win championships already) and beat down one of our fiercest rivals for a Sweep over the weekend with 3 killer HRs. Then goes out and wins the game tonight by coming up with the 2 out game winner to oppose everyone who claims that he isnt clutch, doesnt drive in runs at needed times, or period (for that matter). What does the guy have to do to impress you? walk on water? turn water into wine? Thats probably 4 games right there we may not have won without him. Hello unreal expectations.

    Dempster is throwing today off the mound. If he is good, then he will probably be available for Friday. If he isnt, then he is headed to the DL. Also Henry Blanco will be working out. He is going to try and throw without pain to 2nd base. If he is good to go, then he will be sent to AA or AAA for a rehab assignment. If he cant make it without pain, he will require surgery that is quite possibly career ending, and definitely season ending. So think good thoughts today for both of these cats.

    Several sources are abuzz (not to be confused with his brother abuck) tonight that this may be Jacques last nite in Chicago. SD, Texas, and the BlackSox are the 3 names everyone is repeating over and over and over.

    Oh, they definitely took him to jail. What he did is a felony. Yep. Len mentioned that it's a 3rd degree felony to run on the field like that. He'll be jailed for the night and heavily fined. Thats right. Illinois changed the law once they had the incident with the BlackSox first base coach. It is a felony. Had forgotten that.

    For whatever reason, Lopez has been showing better control this year. Lets be patient and stretch the game. Fuentes has now blown 2 of his last 4 save opportunites. A nice 9-1 game would be good. dont need anything like last nite again for a while. Geaux Cubbies!
