  1. Pathetic? Chelios, Belfour and Savard. Then a couple guys that played one season with them at end of their careers, Coffey and Gilmour. Name last baseball team to have 5 players inducted in the span of 15 years. That just seems very quick - shouldn't induct so many people - takes away from the badge. 2. It's bases loaded, 2 out and Montero at the plate, right? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I doubt Salazar comes back out being a young hard thrower.. Not worth the risk. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I don't care if I have to listen to them eat hot dogs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Seriously.. Just let Len and JD talk the whole time instead of watching that show.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I find it pretty pathetic that 5 players from the Blackhawks have been inducted into the Hall of Fame since 2000. That seems extremely high. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. There isn't a Cubs players first or last name that I can't spell. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Spelling... How hard is it!? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Does anyone else just hate Luke Stuckmeyer? (Spelling) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. And maybe lose the classy name Beer Money and change it to Fan Gear. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. You win $130... Sorry but that just sounds pathetic.. I think they'd be better off saying - you answer 1 question right - you get a Cubs hat (or whatever team your questions are about), 2nd question you get a Cubs Joe Maddon tshirt, 3rd question you get two Cubs tickets. That's more relevant. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Good news is that it doesn't look like it's going to be a long storm. 30-45 min heavy storm and out Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. You can use him to catch platoon against lefties.. Use him to hit righties as a left fielder. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Fact is - I don't care what they're saying - he needs to go down.. Get some reps in left field... And come back in a month or so. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Boom! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I think Montero should have had another night off. He seems kinda lost. Injury must still be factoring in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Cubs playing sloppy tonight.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Agreed. Rain delay would be a plus for the Cubs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. This game will get rained out in the 4th or so. Cubs struggle so much against strikeout pitchers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I hate when I see any pitcher with good strikeout #'s because you know the Cubs will whiff 10+ times. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I mean through 37 games, some of his numbers look better but his strikeout and walk numbers are right on track to where they were last year in AAA Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. One thing at a time with him. If he can't cut down his strikeouts, it doesn't matter what position he plays - he won't play. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. The lists on that report have a couple of flaws. Majority of those players played during the steroid era and I truly believe Eric Gagne when he said 80%+ baseball players used PEDs. What do steroids help with outside of obvious strength? Recovery, aging, and speed. I'm not saying every one of those players used roids, but several of them played deep into their 30s or early 40s and ironically we rarely see that today. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I agree that they aren't similar players. I was more or less just saying that speed deteriorates with time. My point is very simple: I don't believe the Cubs should pay Fowler what he's going to want in free agency for several factors - defensive history, salary increase, injury history. However a guy like Austin Jackson or Venable will come much cheaper than Fowler as Fowler has a more proven past. If Jackson finishes the year at .270, 10 HR, 25 steals, he's worth $10-12 million/yr. Venable could be had for $7-9 million/yr. I agree that Fowler will probably get somewhere close to $15/million especially if his power stays true in the second half. 25. Last year they said he was throwing 95 and now he's around 92 consistently. That scares me for a guy who doesn't have more than 2 pitches. He throws a what used to be good fastball but now isn't much more than average, and he throws an an average-above average slider. I don't see him being a key to the bullpen, but more just a patch. I believe they sent him to AAA hoping he'd find that velocity back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
