Anyway, Hossa was 30 in his first year on the Hawks, Kane will be 26 (Oh yeah, and Kane is better than Hossa was). Plus, you are ignoring the new CBA. Crosby signed his contract in the old CBA, the salary cap is lower now and contracts won't be as high. I think Toews will end up being around Crosby level for cap hit, and Kane will be around 1 million less. I would be surprised to see them move Kane, knowing how good he is.
