  1. Soler Bryant/Baez Almora If I had to pick between Bryant and Baez, I put Bryant ahead due to the superior approach. So, I guess I'm really at: Soler Bryant Baez Almora
  2. Eric Cartman aka Trey Parker.
  3. Why is Hossa a predicament? I know he's signed for like a decade more, like Keith is, and he's certainly older. Is there something more to it? No, there is no predicament. Hossa is going to be amnestied after next year and his Blackhawks career will be over. There's nothing more to it than that. This should also have no impact on the Kane situation, since Kane is going to be much younger than Hossa was when the Hawks signed him. The Hossa signing has been well worth it, with 1 cup already and maybe another, and thanks to the new CBA his cap hit should be gone shortly. Kane is our franchise player (tied with Toews), and will be a Hawk as long as he wants to be one. The Hawks should realize how lucky they are to have two of the top 5-10 players in the league, and I am sure they do.
  4. Definitely agree with this.
  5. That's true. I am basing my argument on the assumption that he'd like to stay. If he wants to go somewhere else, then my whole argument is out the window. I'd think Chicago is as good of a place to play as any, though.
  6. His cap hit is 8.7m. He makes 12m, and doesn't make less than $9m until 2023. The Blackhawks are in a predicament with the Hossa contract, and I would not assume they will be willing to go right back into another deal that will require a similar ending, especially when Toews will get as much, or more. Cap hit is really all that matters, not salary (you are right I had capgeek showing cap hit, not salary, but still). Anyway, Hossa was 30 in his first year on the Hawks, Kane will be 26 (Oh yeah, and Kane is better than Hossa was). Plus, you are ignoring the new CBA. Crosby signed his contract in the old CBA, the salary cap is lower now and contracts won't be as high. I think Toews will end up being around Crosby level for cap hit, and Kane will be around 1 million less. I would be surprised to see them move Kane, knowing how good he is.
  7. I wouldn't move him for the sake of moving him, my point is they could theoretically get a haul for him. If he's considered the 4th best skater in the NHL and getting better I don't see how his next contract only gives him a 1-2 million raise. Because you know contracts aren't negotiated based on advanced statistics. Kane won't make more than 7-8 million in his next contract. What agent isn't going to include such analysis in his negotiations? Crosby makes 8.7 million, Kane will not be able to come that close to that. He will make 8 million at most, and likely even less. I'm sure it will be brought up, but it won't be enough to get him that contract. Contract negotiations in sports are heavily based on player comps, and the front office will make an argument that he deserves a decent amount less than the Crosby/Malkin level and that will be the winning argument. Teams don't like setting contract precedent, especially since the salary cap is being lowered. Kane will make somewhere from 7-8 million (he makes 6.3 now), which is a good price to hold on to him.

  9. Kane isn't going anywhere. If the marketing department gets its way, no, he won't be going anywhere. If the Bowman's have as much control as they probably should, there's a fairly decent chance he gets dealt sometime. Hockey players move all the time. I still like to believe Buffalo will do something stupid in a trade with hopes of generating excitement for the hometown kid. Based on analytics, Kane was the 4th best skater in the NHL this year, and he's getting better. Why would you move that? You will never get fair value for him. It would be very stupid from a front office stand point to move him. He's not going to get that much of a raise, likely only 1-2 million at most. Hossa is also all but a lock to be gone after next season with the new CBA and the amnesty. Kane isn't going anywhere. ETA: fixed typo
  10. Kane isn't going anywhere.
  11. What he's saying is that it's a stimulant and does, for whatever paradoxical reason, help many people with ADHD calm down and concentrate and it does not help people without ADHD. I know. What I was trying to say is that for those who don't have ADD it can improve focus and concentration. That's why a lot of baseball players abuse it. Anyways, Law seems to think it will improve the chances of him being taken #1 b/c the Astros will have an easier time low balling him. Not sure I'm buying it, but it's interesting. Except you're wrong. It simply acts as a stimulant for people without ADD. If you have ADD, it can have the opposite effect, which is to relax you enough so you can sit still and pay attention. In no way, shape or form does it help a person without ADD concentrate. You're wrong. Baseball players take it because they can't take greenies anymore. That's what I said. Lol you are really struggling with comprehension right now.
  12. The Cubs and Yankees are pretty much the exact same team statistically (at least when looking at the standard stats), yet they have inverse records. :/
  13. According to "Baseball Tonight" there are only 3. No, that was a graphic saying only 3 in history have hit 3 homers AND had 6 RBI.
  14. Perhaps, its just me but, they were all pumping hard for the Wings, couldn't believe Eddie O' commentary in favor of the Wings throughout the whole series. Pretty obvious Eddie O has been trying to avoid being called a homer. There is no question that he wants the Hawks to win.
  15. Hope we can add another one soon. So much anxiety.

  18. My god yes. The Captain is back
  19. Crush their spirits right here.
  20. BEST [expletive] POWERPLAY WE HAVE HAD IN AGES. [expletive] YES
  21. I still think we will win this game. We look better than them.
  22. Is there really anything in the last three games that would lead someone to think they could win 3 in a row? Game 3 wasn't that bad.
  23. That sounds like a reasonable thing to do...
