you didn't watch the game, obviously. No, actually I didn't watch the game but 5ER? When is that ever good? i don't know why i'm bothering to explain this to you, but... he had given up 3 thru 6, was at 95 pitches, and was about to go through the order a fourth time. any manager w/ a brain in his head takes him out, and he ends up w/ a solid line considering the bonds hoopla and everything else. Understandable. But he still shouldn't have given up a homer to Randy freaking Winn.. Len quit making excuses by telling us about Schmidts game. Bob - that time when Barry was fast went after he started riding the Steroid train.

^^^^^ That's EXACTLY what I'm talking about even though people like CubDad4ever and CubfaninCA will defend Dusty, this is the type of language I expect out of a manager. These guys aren't girlscouts. They don't need to be coddled when they are completely sucking.

Wait a sec? Sure he asked for those type of players but he didn't ask for all these injuries either. It's not Dusty job to build a team it's Hendry's. He's a craphole manager without injuries. Was he crap in 2003 with the proper players? Yes. Look at his managing.

I didn't mind Mueller, if he hadn't gotten hurt the Cubs probably would have resigned him. Instead he went to Boston and won a batting title. And a World Series -
