FYP. can someone tell me what happened? What did Kendall do this time? And Marmol can't throw a strike.

I haven't been following the game thread until now, but if people are laying that on Kendall, they're being simply ridiculous. short hop on a throw from Soriano. Yea its stupid of us to expect a major league catcher to come up with a short hop. If Soto had done it, not one word would have been uttered. Riiiight, and you know this how? Hey, I'm not a fan of the Kendall acquisition at all, but I've been around NSBB enough to know what I said was true. There are arbitrary favorites (like Dubois when he first came up) that get alot of slack. That's all I'm saying. I take issue with the term "arbitrary". We as a board tend to forgive mistakes by our own prospects more than those the team acquires elsewhere, especially those whose acquisitions we didn't like. I can't imagine other teams' fans are much different. You're 100 percent correct. I take back the term arbitrary!

I've said the same thing, but people lectured me that Game Threads are irrational so I just make sure I don't make ridiculous comments like that and hope it stops on their own. Though if the best record in baseball over the past month and half and all these great character wins can't stop it, nothing will.

rag on lou for the sac bunt with dero (which was insanely stupid) but the hit and run saved this past inning and maybe the game (knock on wood).

I'm gonna go ahead and say it. This team has found something special. Everyone here still says games are over when they aren't, but this team and most fans don't believe that, and neither do I.

I think it can be a safe inference, that Dusty had much more to do with that pitching staff than Larry. He's always been respected and I think Lou is letting him do what he should. something Dusty didn't. Dusty is the devil who's evilness just keep becoming more and more evident. -
I've given him hell for alot of his moves and decisions lately and over the past couple years, but his acquisitions of DeRosa, Lilly, and even Marquis and Ward have been fantastic, not to mention I've been impressed overall with Lou (every manager is going to do things that irritate, but for the most part I've liked what I've seen and I really appreciate him not burning out our pitchers). He deserves much criticism for trades/acquisitions like Izzy, Jones, and Eyre, and his unwillingness to fire Dusty, but he also deserves credit. I'd be a hypocrite if I didn't give it to him.

I don't know his baseball philosophy. What I do know is he wants to win more than he wants to breathe. You can bet your balls he'll surround himself with an array of smart baseball people including sabermetricians. -

We have won one playoff series in the last 100 years and Kerry is the main reason for it. That is why he can do nothing for three years yet still be the best. I sure wish Prior was granted that reprieve as well, but you're spot on.
