  1. Ronny Cedeno does nothing but pop pitches up. He is a terrible baseball player.
  2. Just got in, how's Hill look? What's his pitch count? I also can't believe Murton isn't playing today.
  3. Ooh, try this one -- "Hey blue, you're missing a good game" -- it kills every time. My personal favorite: "BEND OVER AND WATCH THE GAME WITH YOUR GOOD EYE!" My favorite (may be inappropriate): GET OFF YOUR KNEES UMP YOU'RE BLOWING THE GAME!
  4. Well, it's possible DeRosa will be back, unless there was something I didn't hear tonight. I dunno, he looked like he was in a lot of pain in his lone AB tonight.
  5. Seriously? It's been 9 games. You're being ridiculous. Also, I find it hilarious when people actually boo, and give a "thumbs down" to the player. I don't know why, but I think it's awesomely funny. Fans did it during the FC Dallas/LA Galaxy game last night and it was awesome.
  6. Yep. Floyd is hitting, keep on letting him play. That said, giving Jones a day off and letting both Floyd and Murton play isn't a bad idea.
  7. Which is why my daughters first game will be at Miller Park to see the Brewers. My wife thinks I'm crazy b/c I will not allow any Cubs clothes be given to our new born. When I have kids, they will be smothered in Cubs gear. I already made my girlfriend into a Cubs fan. If I'm going down, I'm bringing everybody with me.
  8. Lee just hit his 3rd homer of the game.
  9. I'm more for a collective boo against the whole team, because of the ways they've lost ball games these last four days. Maybe it will wake them up. If we cheer for them, wont they think its okay for them to suck? So, the booing reminds them that what they're doing was wrong? Does Soriano actually think getting picked off is okay unless the enlightened masses shower him with boos? Unless it's a Hundley situation or a clear lack of effort(like not running out a popup at all and the guy drops it and throws him out), booing serves no good, it's just a selfish outlet for the fan to try to make himself feel better. Preach on, friend.
  10. I'm more for a collective boo against the whole team, because of the ways they've lost ball games these last four days. Maybe it will wake them up. If we cheer for them, wont they think its okay for them to suck? Do you honestly think players are like "I'm hitting .200 and we're 10 gb in the division, but it's okay because I'm not getting booed?" I know I don't.
  11. That's fair. That infuriates me.
  12. 5 GAME LOSING STREAKS ARE LAME. SCORE MORE RUNS THAN THE REDS PLZ.
  13. Let's boo a guy who has played two whole weeks who has 5 doubles in 9 games. I know he's not hitting well, but it's been 9 games, and I have no doubt that he'll come around. Everyone needs to calm down. I know I've overreacted too, but it's 9 games. You think Lee would get booed if he went into a 10 game slump? Booing a quality player who is slumping is ridiculous. That said, I have no problem booing Izturis or Ohman. ;)
  14. come on now, they aren't even 2 weeks into 162 game season. Seriously. It's frustrating, but they could easily take the last two games of the series and be right back to 5-6. It's not great, but 2 straight wins would be a nice start.
  15. It's been bothering him since ST and I guess it's a bit swollen today.
  16. Yup. Floyd hitting .400 today cost us the game, not pitchers walking guys.
  17. Great job offense. Weathers threw the same pitch in the same spot every time and you guys couldnt do anything. What a bunch of clowns. P.S. Z and Ohman I seriously hate you both.
  18. Their bullpen ERA is 1.88 this season... And I'm less than convinced that will continue. I'm with you, but they have started the year hot.
