  1. brought in a lefty to face reed? thanks pittsburgh.
  2. Wow Lou. Bring in a PH to bunt, and that's what he does?
  3. He misplayed a ball. If it was Kosuke or Theriot or someone everyone would be saying he misplayed it, but since it's Soriano he was hotdogging it. Kosuke and Theriot dont make a habit of dumb crap like that. Theriot makes a habit of doing lots of dumb stuff. Not as much lately but he is definitely not innocent when it comes to that. Soriano misplaying a ball = dumb crap So does Theriot having an awful arm and awful range that costs us hits = dumb crap? Just trying to keep up here.

  5. This is easily the ugliest game of the year.
  6. Man I couldn't agree more. Same thing with the Mizzou-kU rivalry game in Arrowhead. The home environment is a big part of why I love college football so much. I hate that they're playing in a freakin dome. Say what you will, but the atmosphere at Arrowhead last year was ridiculous. I don't think that would've been matched at Faurot or in Lawrence. With an identical scenario in terms of what was at stake, you don't think the atmosphere would've been better had that game been at Faurot? Granted I wasn't at Arrowhead so I only know what I saw/heard on TV, but I'd be shocked if the atmosphere at a neutral site would be better than at your home field. I don't know. I think the thing that made it so great is that it was 50/50 Mizzou and Kansas fans. It would've been crazy at Faurot, for sure, but I think the fact that it was such an even split in fandom made the atmosphere that much better. That's not to say I wouldn't mind going back to playing at our stadium and in Lawrence though.
  7. If you click on a team on BR, and then click on Schedule, near the top they'll tell you longest winning and losing streak. After going through all the teams, this is what I found: CUBS, NYY, LAA, FLA: 4 STL, BOS, BAL, NYM, ARI, LAD: 5 MIL, MIN, CWS, PHI, ATL, PIT, CIN, SF: 6 TBD, TOR, DET, TEX, SEA: 7 HOU, COL, SD: 8 CLE, OAK: 10 KC, WASH: 12
  8. That's how it should be. The last thing I want is them to get all pumped up and celebrating clinching a playoff spot, then crapping the bed the last week and not getting the division. Honestly, I hope we clinch our playoff spot when we're not playing (say we win during the day and STL loses at night), that way it won't be a big deal.
  9. I actually feared that the whole event was going to be a disaster, but they did a very good job.
  10. There was an article in the Trib recently about possibly moving the game to a home and home situation after 2010.
  11. You gonna make it to the game?
  12. Wait...Soriano has lost the strike zone? He's walked four times in the past 3 games, including leadoff walks the past two. He's definitely in a slump, but I don't think he's "lost the strike zone"
  13. Not to get too much off topic, but what're you doing since you graduated?
  14. That's what I was gonna post. You have Billy Corgan bedsheets, don't you? Absolutely. Also footy pajamas.
  15. That's what I was gonna post.
  16. This gem from the guy complaining about a silent protest supposedly causing violence. Huh??? should not coaching be to blame on this one? Let's stick to subject at hand, you a.d.d is showing Come on. You said a silent protest = causing violence. But then you said the coaches should be shot for bad coaching. Impressive.
  17. This D looks hilariously bad.
  18. Well the team slept right through this one tonight. I should've done the same.
  19. Are we really gonna lose this game? Come on offense, wake up.
