  1. that was a terrible possession. what a hilariously bad flea flicker
  2. David Ubben ‏@davidubben 4m Texas hasn't lost a game by single digits since Thanksgiving 2012.
  3. "Josh is our quarterback." Is that what you mean?
  4. Talk me out of it. I'm thinking of starting mccown over dalton because dalton sucks against ravens historically
  5. so we drafted my league that i've been stressing about in the other thread last night. ended up keeping calvin and ball and wanted to get forte and demaryius back. forte ended up only being the top left and 6 of the top 9 ranked RBs were kept. i allocated $60 to bring forte back and $50 to bring demaryius back. ended up spending $70 on forte and $55 on demaryius to give me a solid core, but i completely over-estimated how much my league would spend on QBs (and backup QBs). my depth is probably weak but i think it's a team, barring no major injuries, that could compete. this league has big play bonuses (more points for 50+ yard plays and 50+ yard TDs) so calvin and demaryius should be huge there again QB: Andy Dalton - $1 RB: Montee Ball - $6 (keeper) RB: Matt Forte - $70 WR: Calvin Johnson - $43 WR: Demaryius Thomas - $55 TE: Kyle Rudolph - $2 Flex: Chris Ivory - $2 D/ST: Patriots - $1 K: Adam Vinatieri - $1 P: Bryan Anger - $1 B: Danny Amendola - $1 B: Dwayne Bowe - $4 B: Shonn Green - $1 B: Kenny Stills - $1 B: Josh McCown - $2 B: Teddy Bridgewater - $1 I'm pissed because I left a few bucks out there and could've grabbed a better flex/bench player while waiting for a QB that never came. if Dalton comes remotely close to last year that'll be great (he had 4th most QB pts in my league last year). either way i'm going to have to be active on the waiver wire and hope to get lucky with a FA or two early on
  6. i saw your guys' schedule for the first time the other day. woof.
  7. doesnt everyone do this SEC-isnt-that-great [expletive] every year? maybe they arent, but its week 1.
  8. bears win a close one. agree with the 31-20/38-28/28-20 predictions. also the 49ers will be dogshit this year.
  9. Ball seems like a steal at that price. Hes a superior runner to Knowshon, who had a crazy good season last year. Tough break on Gordon, that would be a great price. I think I would go Ball and either CJ or DT. Seeing what some of these RBs are going for in the mocks, I'm starting to lean towards CJ and Ball as well. And now I'm thinking about saving the $11 and keeping Demaryius and Ball instead of CJ and ball. The season needs to start so I'm forced to make a decision. And now I'm back to keeping Calvin because looking at who others are going to (probably) keep, I'm going to want to make a run to bring back Forte and either Calvin/Demaryius or fear a big drop-off since I'm planning on going cheap at QB. It looks like it might be more expensive to try and re-draft Calvin than to try and re-draft Demaryius based on the mock drafts I've seen. I'm going to have a stroke.
  10. Palmer signing with the Bills
  11. I'd keep Stacy, Johnson and Alshon. If you want to make sure you have a serviceable QB, keep Ryan, but I think the mid-tier of QBs in fantasy this year are all quite similar and you can get someone maybe a little later that is comparable. I'm not huge on Cam this year (wasn't even before he got hurt last night...and wish he wasn't on my dynasty team for two more years...) so I definitely agree with you there.
  12. Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter 17m Bears are keeping QB Jimmy Clausen over Jordan Palmer, who is being released, per sources. For now, Clausen has won Bears' backup job.
  13. they should go after Tebow and Favre
  14. You're probably smart for taking Calvin there and locking in the best WR in football, but I'm super nervous about Foster for some reason this year. Forte is such a huge advantage in PPR, but I'd probably take Calvin and bank on a really solid RB still being there.
  16. Conte being evaluated for concussion
  17. 4 of the first 5 QBs we play are EJ Manuel, Colin Kaepernick, Geno Smith, and Cam Newton. The other QB is Aaron Rodgers Not that players like Manuel or Smith are anywhere near Russell Wilson in talent but they are QBs that can make things happen with their feet. for sure, they also dont have the skill around them like wilson does
  18. I agree. Just asking because Im on web feed and couldn't really tell. second sentence definitely wasnt directed at you. i'm on web feed as well and didnt see your post til i posted.
  19. cutler had forte or couldve run, but it's also preseason so why not try and make the throw. guys, it's also preseason
  20. nice back shoulder by morgan
  21. D Rush looks great. glad we don't have to play too many wilson's during the year
