  1. I thought that a foul could've been called on Raivio when he just leaped on top of the pile.
  2. One of the worst calls I've ever seen.
  3. From what I heard, everyone on the committee but AD Mike Alden wanted Huggins, and since Alden didn't go after him, there were some problems within the committee and I guess they were all fired? I'm not sure but that's what I'm hearing.
  4. Unbelievable game. Come on UCLA, make this exciting.
  5. I really haven't heard anything. Just more complaining on Tigerboard. I bet that Mizzou doesn't hire anyone until after the tournament (I could be totally wrong though). On a side note, I just can't understand how these kids, like OJ Mayo, would want to go to Manhattan, Kansas, even to follow Huggins. Even before I knew anything about KSU or MU, I still kinda knew that KSU was not in a bustling metropolis. Oh well, congradulations on getting Huggins, and if they can land Mayo and Walker, impressive job. Well, Manhattan KS IS a hell of a good time. Ever been to Aggieville? It's not too far from Wichita or KC, and is a hell of a school with a pretty damn good basketball history (get rid of 1991-2006). Huggins WILL bring this program back, and I am tickeled pink knowing it! WOO! Heck of a year for KSU BBALL!!!!!! It's a good thing if you don't mind your program being polluted with a bunch of thugs (if history repeats, which it usually does). Not to mention, Huggins is hardly an angel himself. I'm elated Iowa State didn't give this clown the time of day (not that they could have anyway, being they'd already canned a coach guilty of FARRR less). I'll be elated when we kick Iowa State's a** in the years to come. hell, KSU is the #1 PUBLIC university for Goldwater, Truman, and Marshal scholarships in the US. I'll take a few thugs, if that's what happens, to see my team do well in the NCAA tourney! I'll be honest, I never thought I'd see someone so excited to have Huggins. Maybe it's because in terms of college I'd rather have a well-run, classy, organization, then an organization that loses in the second round of the tournament every year and is always in trouble. "Classy"???? Do you know the guy or is that an opinion? I haven't heard the people at Cincy say one bad thing about him. Is it because of the DUI that he isn't classy? Come on now! Hell, I've had a DUI, but that doesn't mean Im not a classy individual. I'm sure there are others on this board that have as well. I mean, I respect your opinon, but I sense hostility of a Mizzou fan. Hell, Quin Snyder wasn't classy in my opinion, but I don't mention my thoughts about his personality. I think he was a good basketball coach, which is what I am happy to finally have in Manhattan. You forget about the history of KSU basketball going from a "name" school, to a complete bag of crap in 10 years. I'm excited, YOU BET! We finally have someone that is going to win games for us. I'm sick of nice guys, like Wooldridge, who I have a ton of respect for, but couldn't get the job done. Why the hell wouldn't I be excited? I never said he wasn't classy, I said the Cincinnati team he ran was not classy at all. His players were always considered rough, if not dirty. During his tenure he had many players criminally convicted and/or arrested. His program was put on probation in 1998. Classy program indeed. He's going to win games, but he isn't going to win the big one. Two Elite Eights, and one Final Four, okay very good. However, UC never beat a higher seeded team, and lost to a lower seeded team 10 times. UC lost 12 times in the first or second round in 16 appearances. And I knew you'd bring up Quin Snyder. Quin Snyder ran the furthest thing from a classy program. I never once discussed Huggins' personality in the previous post, because I don't know him, I'm talking about his program. I'm a fan of people who can run classy programs.
  6. 1 night, 2 Final Four teams gone. Whee! Last weekend = 3 FF teams gone, 1 NC gone.
  7. Keyshawn signs with Panthers: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2381809 Allen signs with 49ers: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2381799 I apologize for hijacking this thread with other teams' moves, is there any chance we can change it to an NFL Offseason Moves thread?

  9. JJ Redick ends his collegiate career shooting 3-18. I love it. Bradley played really well. Just a lack of consistency on defense in the second half and the incredible amount of turnovers early in the game really hurt them. It could've gone down the wire. Great season for the Braves.
  10. a Bradley win would certainly help me get UCLA to the Final Four Just like KU thought they'd be seeing the second round and Pittsburgh thought they'd be playing Memphis right now? Bradley is better than a 13, they have proven that already.
  11. Memphis up 35-30 at half. Bradley really started to slow things down and started setting up an offense at the end of the half, but turnovers and missed free-throws have killed them.
  12. If Bradley wants to have any chance at all to win this game they are going to need to start making hard, crisp passes and take care of the ball more. I still can't get over how quick Memphis is. Nor can I get over how dominate O'Bryant is inside.
  13. LSU up 31-27 at half. Memphis up 21-20 with just under 9:00 in the first half.
  14. Nice 11-2 run by Bradley here, still playing somewhat recklessly though, but so is Memphis.
  15. They need to start slowing it down and actually setting up an offense, instead of just running and shooting. They're going to dominate the boards with Sommerville and O'Bryant. Also, stop turning the ball over!
  16. This Memphis team is very fast.
  17. Vanderjagt signs with the Cowboys. I'm upset that the Bears didn't make an attempt at Vanderjagt or Vinatieri. http://x.go.com/cgi/x.pl?goto=http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2381104&name=FPT-2381104-032314&srvc=sz
  18. Azumah confirms retirement: http://www.chicagobears.com/news/newsDetail.jsp?id=14727 I loved Azumah, sad his career had to end early.
  19. Huggins accepts KSU job: http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=2380766
  20. I'd rather have Kyle and see if he can progress while being a third stringer. Agreed. We already have a veteran QB on the team, no need for Blake anymore. However, go into camp with all four of them, incase one gets hurt.
  21. Apparently they are committed to having someone who will for sure run a clean program. Majerus and (especially) Huggins don't fit that criteria. Wasn't Majerus' health a big concern as well?
  22. Not Important Tournament You know what, that may be true for teams that played below expectations. But for a rebuilding program, it can be a reward for progress and a springboard for next year. Penn State making a postseason tournament was huge for that program. Oh trust me I think it is very important to teams like that. For Mizzou last year I was happy that they made it because it meant more time for the young starters to develop their game, plus it gets more exposure to the team. I have nothing against the tournament, I was just poking a little fun.
  23. I like this signing, I don't like the length, but it is nice knowing that there is a solid quarterback coming off the bench for when Grossman goes down in the preseason.
