  1. If Prior does it oo I'm sure that will be the end of Baker. It isn't professional, but I would thoroughly enjoy open revolt by the team right now.
  2. Hey, the only thing that could get Baker fired quicker than losing is if he loses the control of the team. That didn't work last year. Did his players rebel against him personally? If so, I don't remember it.
  3. Hard to tell. Z went to the clubhouse, and there appreared to be some confusion in the dugout. The Weurtz got up in the pen.

  5. I hate Dusty. He's worthless. **Scoop Jackson**What? You must be racist. If it were Bobby Cox you wouldn't say that. **Scoop Jackson** If it were Bobby Cox, Murton would have at least started a few times this past week. If Bobby Cox were the Cubs manager Neifi and Holla would be anchored to the bench, and the Cubs would probably be leading the WC.
  6. No. A week ago I may have said yes, but not now. I desperately want the Cubs to win, but if losing a ton of games from here on out is what it takes to get rid of Baker, then so be it. I endured so many 90+ loss seasons with no real hope, I can endure a woeful finish to this one if it gives us a much better chance at the WS next year. I'm sick of watching Dusty waste our talent.
  7. We need them for the stretch dude, there's nothing to be worried about. I think Dusty has a future as one of these new bleeding heart educators who care more about not hurting a kid's feelings than preparing them for the world. But his terrible managing hurts my feelings. It doesn't hurt my feelings, but fosters bad feelings. Most notably the homicidal urge.

  9. Another thing that has bothers me about Barrett is that on any popup around the plate, it takes him way to long to find it. He just stands there looking confused for a couple seconds before he realizes where the ball is.
  10. We looked worse. Great..... I don't know....I may be on board with the lose until Dusty gets fired movement. Maybe then we can have some genuine hope for 2006.
  11. I wonder if they all share a hotel room with Dusty on the road.

  13. Ah, good job Todd. We should really name Dusty's boys. The terrible triumverate?
  14. You forgot the most important rule: Rule #4 of Macias: Keep away from Dusty Baker at all costs
  15. Yes Beltran was flying and Macias just kind if jogged to the ball, made a lame 360 and a predictably pitiful throw.
  16. Poor Zambrano. I would give $100 of my own money just be able to yell at Dusty in a one on one scenario.
  17. Apparently Macias, like Holla, likes to take his sweet time getting to balls.
  18. Listening to these two makes me want to laugh/cry at the same time.
  19. As will Nomar ](*,) True. Hopefully Nomar will hit a homer or two though. Perez just saved Lee from hitting into a DP. Meh, that wouldn't have been a DP. Just got here, and glad to see Dustbag managed to get all three of his boys in the starting lineup. :x #-o ](*,)
  20. Maybe I'm naive, but I don't see how the Cream of Wheat comment can be taken racially, unless you just say "he said that because I'm black/hispanic/etc.". Cream of Wheat use to have an elderly African-American man who was serving Cream of Wheat to little white kids on the front cover. Did not know that. Thanks. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v365/XZero77/cow.jpg
  21. The thing is that everything wouldn't have had to go perfectly for the Cubs to be better. Everything bad that has happened has been exacerbated by Baker. We knew his shortcomings prior to the season, but Dusty has really raised the bar for ineptitude this season. It's just sad.
  22. If we had Bobby Cox for a manager and Leo Mazzone as a pitching coach, we'd be 20 games over .500 right now.
