  1. I didn't mean it literally, jeez. I'm not entire sure how anyone could take the title literally, but...... I like Dusty, I just despise his managing.
  2. You have a point, but doing the same thing for a should have been an out triple by Freddie Freaking Bynum late in a blowout is beyond ridiculous. No one would have ripped him if he K'ed, because NO ONE CARED EITHER WAY.
  3. Dusty has to teach Murton how to hit some more before he can bat ahead of proven dudes like Mabry.
  4. Dunn is bad, but I have seen a lot worse.
  5. You can't fire the whole team, obviously. And the egregious lack of exeution and fundamentals that has pervaded this team has been going on for Dusty's entire tenure. That falls on the coaching staff. Of course Dusty will tell you that isn't his fault, and to go talk to the coaches. This isn't Club Med, and someone has to be held accountable for something. Dusty is apparently unwilling or unable to hold his coaches and players to task for crap that is easily fixable yet has continued for the better part of four years. The injuries and performance excuse has some weight, but the piss poor execution, approach(both on the mound and the plate), fundamentals and in-game management have finished the job that the injuries started. This team is a couple years overdue for a real shakeup.
  6. I was thinking the "being held hostage by mediocrity" thing would be the same thing as last year: Winning just enough for Dusty to keep his job via the injuries excuse, but not enough to mean anything.
  7. The only things mounting faster than the losses are the bad managerial decisions and excuses. The only things worse than the record are the fundamentals. Will this horrid run continue, and terminate in with Dusty's termination, or will we be held hostage by mere mediocrity all season?
  8. I don't think he does, nor do I think a new manager wouldn't be better
  9. Intervention by Andy or players literally refusing to play. Losing 20 of 25 probably does it as well. We're well on the way.
  10. I was with you regarding Jones last night, but this is just ridiculous. Bynum sucks, and it is late in a blowout. No one cares either way.
  11. He also doesn't know what it's like to not manage deep into October and has never had a team with poor fundamentals. I don't think he'll quit and I don't think Hendry will fire him. But that's just another sign of what a bad job he's done as GM, because he clearly should. What kind of insurrection will have to take place for Hendry to fire Baker, I wonder?
  12. Yes, replace one of the most potent bats in the lineup (Jones is, as sad as that seems) with an offensive nothing down a bunch of runs. Brilliant!
  13. I love Ron, but he needs to retire in the worst kind of way.
  14. Dude, I think you might need spectacles, or CBSsportsline needs new workers. They said he flied out DEEP to left field. It sure wasn't deep.
  15. Meh, Pierre has been awful, but this is a full on team suckfest. Remember how we kept hearing how Pierre has been one of the toughest guys to strikeout over his career? He's had no problem striking out to me. Speaking about Pierre specifically, I think that his ridiculous regimen has worn him down physically, and is started showing last year. On the team level, this crap is just starting to snowball.
  16. What proof? The result of calling the bunt was a guy who got behind early and GIDP. He was wild. If you never call the bunt you could easily have gotten Cedeno into a hitter's count and the result would be completely different. valid point. Baker's managing like they're down by a run. Baker = stubbornobstinatebuffoonass That's better.
  17. Honestly, I don't hate the players. I really believe that the coaching staff must be preaching over agressiveness at the plate and nibbling around the strike zone trying for K's for pitchers. Both things are just too epidemic withing the team to be anything else.
  18. Meh, Pierre has been awful, but this is a full on team suckfest.
  19. Where do you live goony? I mean, how are you listening to the Giants announcers? Probably XM.
  20. I think Baylor is using his skills of astral projection to possess Baker and haunt us still.
  21. You would think with how much walks kill us, our hitters and coaches would see that, and try to do the same thing? Right? Common sense? You'd think so, but Dusty & Co. live somewhere between the Twilight Zone and the Outer Limits.
  22. I hate that commercial and I despise Jimmy Fallon, but damn if I don't want a Pepsi everytime I see it. :?
