    They're starting some bozo from the minors today against Dice-K. If they don't lose today, then there should be a federal investigation.

    He crossed over the foul line toward 2nd. At the very least he should have scurried back to 1st, he had plenty of time.

    I agree, it's time Marshall got another shot anyway. With a little luck, he'll pitch well and we'll have an option to go to when Marquis inevitably stops being able to put together a decent start or two to keep the wolves away from his doorstep.

    Because he knows how to look tough; while throwing a punch as he's falling down to avoid another man's punch?? ....probably more like because teams desperate for help at a certain position tend to see something in a player that just isn't there.

    Even Red Sox nation crumbles in the face of St. Louis pixie dust. Orioles get out of it. I'll take a Crew loss over a Cards loss anyway. I'm convinced the Red Bird luck is starting to wane.

    Relatively, it is good. Very good. I had serious concerns about losing him for the season. Plus the rest wouldn't hurt him. He's not out of the woods yet. A minor tear doesn't always stay minor, even if you let him rest awhile. Then it is season over, and possibly more. Leave it to Kyle for encouraging words. Dude! Come on. This anti-negativity vibe is getting out of control. Yesterday, I heard it for saying the Cubs didn't look like a 100-win team anymore, and today I get it for just saying "he isn't out of the woods yet." Anyone who makes a living throwing baseballs but has a shoulder problems is not out of the woods. It's the comment "season over, and possibly more" that is overly negative, not the comment about "not being out of the woods."

    Harris has done everything asked of him and more. I like it when we take care of our productive players. Captain Obvious has spoken.

    I think because it's to appease both the Cubs and Sox fans. Tommorow Len and Bob will be on WGN and the WS announcers on CSN. Sunday is on ESPN. Though I can't imagine that even White Sox fans would like to hear the Hawk. Hordes of them think he's great.

    I would LOVE to get Harden...but having Hendry trying to work a deal with Billy Beane scares me. Considering we don't have prospects I'm scared of losing, dealing with Beane bothers me less than usual. My guess is Beane would buy low and get Hill along with some other players he could either keep or spin elsewhere. My guess is Billy would end up with Hill + Pie + Ceda. Think Beane wants Pie or would try to move him elsewhere? Doesn't seem like a "Billy-boy" type of player to me. I could see him wanting to at least get Hill into the system to see what can be done with him.

    It's a terrible series but this team needs to buck up and put it behind them. We're 3.5 games up, and in all honesty we're REALLY 5.5 games up because the Cards are probably not going to be there anyway. We just need to forget this and win the Sox series. Everything will be just ducky by Sunday if we beat them 2/3.

    That sounds like just a miserable way to be a fan. I don't know that it's appreciably worse than really believing they'll actually win only to be proven wrong year after year after year. But I digress. Definitely hoping for the best with Z. Need a lift right now after the disaster that was Tampa.
