  1. Greater chance the d will cheat up on the run when it's less than a yard - especially given the bears past behavior on the goal line
  2. I'm starting to really like this cutler kid
  3. Jay must be thinking this feels an awful lot like Denver
  4. What in God's name are you talking about? This has nothing to do with being "surprised" and everything to do with this defense simply not being very good at all. Yeah I have not been impressed with this defense at all the last couple weeks. They have been kind of skating by. It was just a matter of time before they got exposed in an ugly manner. single coverage on cj all is a poor gameplan, I don't what anyone says
  5. They paid lip service to the lions but talk is cheap. They obviously didn't take this team seriously, and now they're caught without a solid plan to stop the lions on offense and their heads swirling from the shock. Seriously, lovie's idea of game prep is a joke
  6. This is exactly the kind of bs lackluster effort that I was warning against earlier in the week
  7. This is why replay should be used for any call
  8. What a [expletive] [expletive] call
  9. This week's been pretty rough at work. I could use a nice, easy, 20 point Bears win here. I don't need any more drama 8-)
  10. People will talk about how Obama shouldn't have gone for another day or two, and then it will be on to other things... I think it was a miscalculation, but not all that big a deal in the long run.
  11. It's certainly good to see the Hawks put up that many shots. I was wondering if the offense was going to generate as much pressure as last year. I'm sure it will be less for the time being, but the shot total looks good to me.
  12. Have fun, David. Not sure if I'm going to make it to a game this year.
  13. Really? He was supposed to last week because Seattle has a terrible run defense. But a terrible run offense made up for that. Here: http://www.northsidebaseball.com/bridge/index.php?f=15&t=55885&rb_v=viewtopic Convenient that there was just a thread about this.
  14. Romeo was still trying to win. In retrospect it would have worked out better if they just traded Anderson when they drafted Quinn. They'd have gotten something in return. When they drafted Quinn, Anderson was still a nothing. Now if they'd traded him after 2007, it might have been a happy ending. That's right, my bad. '07 was his big year.

  16. There was also some talk during that segment about how the Bears are disappointed in Jamar Williams' play. The thought was that the Bears would like to work someone else in, but just can't do it right now.
  17. Yeah, the Browns find themselves in that familiar Bears position -- choose whatever QB you want, neither is all that great. Hopefully we're out of that mudhole for a good long time.
  18. Biggs this morning: looks like Briggs will go. Tiso, probably not.
  19. If Briggs is out you'll see that point spread drop a bit more. I'm not comfortable with him being out even against the lions
  20. Miami has used a 2nd rounder on a QB in three consecutive drafts, and signed a veteran before last season, and they still need to go out and trade for a crappy veteran journeyman? That is Bear-like. Well consider there isn't a Jay Cutler esque QB available, what else you want the Dolphins to do? I hear Dan Marino wants to give it a go one more time. We'll see how Henne does, but in my view this is precisely the reason why a decent backup QB is important.
  21. I think the Bengals just mow the pathetic Browns right down.
  22. That Packers/Vikings game is going to be delicious.
  23. I won't accept the Bears coming out flat, looking like they didn't prepare, or didn't prepare for the right things. Like they did against Seattle. I better not see highlights coming in like "Look at the Lions! Up by 10 against the Bears after their first win in 20 games!" That simply better not happen.
