  1. Pressure, baby. Real, honest-to-goodness, "you will be judged forever by this" -- pressure.
  2. No, I don't think they'll lose 3 in a row to the Pacers, but any possibility of him having to fight through pain or lingering tenderness -- anything -- is a concern.
  3. I don't get how the single player who makes the Bulls contenders being in a walking boot is no big deal. It's not whether he can play or not. It's the fact that anything less than 100% Rose means, in all likelihood, a Bulls exit from the playoffs short of the finals. It's really everything, and everyone knows that. So how is it not a big deal?
  4. Wholly Mholly! I didn't think they'd really do it.
  5. Oh man, Steeger throws it at the net and it just hops right down in front of the stick. Flyers take it. Game 7 coming. That was a great finish. Didn't see the whole game, but the finish was fun.
  6. Thats not a big deal. People do that with ankle injuries all the time as a precaution. They obviously don't want him re-injuring it or making it worse, so the boot stabilizes the ankle. I don't know man, I think that's a pretty big deal.
  7. Yeah I hate to get on his case in April, but no power at all is not up to expectations. He needs to start hitting the ball hard. Soon.
  8. This is a big, big problem though. (sorry to pick one sentence from your well-constructed post). Pena absolutely MUST slug or he's worthless. Thank God he's only here one year. We've got nothing else, so it's him this year and that's probably it.
  9. I'll take the single but Pena was brought on board to hit the ball harder than that.
  10. Yeah, Indiana and their GOONS, man.
  11. Gawd. Skyline chili is the most overrated food on the face of the planet. What's funny is that people in Cincy really think it is something special. it's weird, i don't know anyone around here that raves about it. all i hear is out-of-towners saying how great skyline is, but i never hear any locals compliment it. i think it's gross as hell. There's one on every corner down there. It's not just out-of-towners eating it. It's horrifying something like that could even survive a year, much less become an actual successful franchise. Those people ought to be ashamed of themselves.
  12. Yeah, it's only when I think the Bulls are good, too. Like this season. If I don't think they're all that great, then I can watch them. If I think they've got a shot, then I go mental with every damn play. And there's no break from it because of the nature of the game.
  13. I thought you couldn't even get in the building without your playoff beard.
  14. I can't handle another game of this series. I've gone from "The Bulls have a shot to win the title" to "we need to blow this team up and get rid of everyone except Rose, Deng, Noah and Korver" I'm losing my mind. I havent seen Bulls basketball in over 10 days. Yeah, watching the Bulls makes me crazy for some reason. I almost don't even like it. I'm not all that huge a basketball fan, so I can't figure it out. Even the Bulls dynasty teams -- I had to take breaks from even watching those games.
  15. Let 'em have their win. Take this back to Chicago.
  16. I've been here two years now, and I don't find anything redeeming about the local St. Louis cuisine. T-Ravs are decent, but their pizza sucks. There are some pretty good restaurants around here, but none of which specialize in "local fare." I really miss being able to get Italian Beef. Neither city has great food. And in response to AV's post -- yes, St. Louis players have been plenty mouthy towards Chicago. I don't know about Cincy.
  17. Gawd. Skyline chili is the most overrated food on the face of the planet. What's funny is that people in Cincy really think it is something special.
  18. Maybe they should let Cuban move in as Dodgers owner. Hey -- Cuban's a lot of things, but he'd never self-sabotage a business over a soon-to-be ex-wife.
  19. None of the popular teams have many Monday night games. That's not the desirable night. I don't know if for away teams the Thanksgiving game counts down the 5 night game maximum. Otherwise it's a little surprising that Green Bay didn't get the maximum number of night games. Yeah, I think the Thanksgiving slot counts as a primetime game. I'm glad we only have one Monday nighter. That crew makes every MNF game near unwatchable. You're right in that respect. I still like having the national showcase though. To me that's extremely surprising. Both GB's lack of MNF, and also Jacksonville -- of all teams -- getting 2.
  20. Ryan's goal last night was special. Ducks still lost though.
  21. This. The moment Ted emerges from the other team's dugout, he becomes the enemy. Here's hoping his curve is flat, and his fastball poorly placed, and we hang a bunch of early runs on him. Go Cubs.
  22. You need lessons from imb, he's better at it than you.
  23. Any Bulls fan in this thread rises above the level of a troll, unlike you. Why are you here, again?
  24. They just mad that he laid the wood to Princess Rose. Oh looky, meatball commentary from the peanut gallery.
