  1. He asked for a purple elephant Santa. Of the 3, clearly Lebron is the least human.
  2. I'm just really happy for Lucas tonight. I love little stories like this. His moment of glory. Hopefully there will be more in the future.
  3. Linsanity!!!!! Oh wait, we still suck. Nevermind.
  4. Defense and the best second unit in the league. Yeah we're just getting the performances from the bench. At least for now.
  5. Nice job CJ
  6. Who is she? Don't know, never seen her before. I'll try to catch the name.
  7. Man, sideline reporter is hot.
  8. You blew up the two greatest arms to come through our system in generations. We didn't have PATIENCE? LOL.
  9. For a shooter, Kyle Korver sure sucks at shooting.
  10. The Cubs were screwing themselves by charging people less than the market would allow. I get what you're saying, but those fans aren't getting screwed in any way by having to pay what the market deems that those tickets are worth. If they can't afford to go or choose not to spend the money, that's on them. Somebody else will. I would hate to live in your world. And I hate that my son will not be able to see as many MLB baseball games live with his father as I saw with mine. Oh FFS. Get the hell out with that [expletive]. The one thing I'll say is this: they don't yet know that the market will demand this price. They're taking an educated guess. If people didn't buy, or if they decide not to come but then can't re-sell (then next year's tickets go unsold), then the true price may wind up being lower. I understand the reasoning and agree with it, but saying "this is what the market demands" is not entirely accurate. They're guessing that this is the demand. If people then buy, and continue to, then it is confirmed.
  11. Let's say we sign Mario and then Floyd falls to us in the draft. Party time :yahoo:
  12. Well, 2 minutes left & a 5 point lead. Rose with the breakaway! 7 point lead now.
  13. You know if we sign Mario I'll be ecstatic. I want to see Cutler unchained. I hear what you're saying.....how good could this guy be with some real targets? When will we see a guy of his quality at QB in a Bear uni again?
  14. Gibby with the RBBI!! Then Rose wit da slammer!
  15. It doesn't maximize a new strength on the team, which is the passing arm of Cutler. I think a premiere pass rusher to go along with an even better pass rusher will bring more benefit to this team than Jackson. Not saying Jackson wouldnt help that much because he would help immensely, but if we got Williams we'd have the best pass rush in the league. As you know, Lovie's Cover 2 is absolutely dependent on getting to the QB (ok most defenses are). Having that pass rush changes or defense from slightly above average to among the best in the league IMO. Plus, while there are other options at WR that will help the Bears a ton, IMO the drop between Williams and the next best option is much bigger than Jackson and Colston. Yeah that's true, but the way I'm looking at it, we already have a premiere pass rusher in Peppers. Pass rush shouldn't be a weakness. I'm also thinking Izzy should have a little better season because he was inordinately down last year, IMO. I don't think the Bears will be a poor pass rushing team next year. Melton should also contribute... On the other hand, my thinking has us blowing years off a franchise QB arm, when we obviously don't see talent at that position very often. It's absolutely critical we capitalize in that area while we can because we struggle in that area and have a real opportunity right now. I have a certain confidence in our ability to court and/or develop defensive pieces. I'm much more nervous about our ability to assemble offense, and want to see us take advantage when we can.
  16. That was pretty damn ugly. Like a blown safety coverage, only in basketball.
  17. We can add a second tier WR though, like a Manningham and still get Williams. And draft a WR in the 1st, if we like someone enough. And if we don't like someone enough, or our guy is gone, then poof. So don't go for Williams on the chances we don't get a shot at a WR we like in the first round? Obviously it depends on a number of factors, but I would target VJax first and foremost.

  20. I'm gonna go ahead and say it: I'd rather target the WR first. Cutler is in his prime. We need to maximize that opportunity now, or risk forever losing it. Yes, I would be happy with Mario. Anyone would. But we need to secure our franchise QB with a target. Once and for all, we need to establish a damn passing game of note in this town. There may not be another opportunity to do that as good as this year ever again. This is the year to grab a top-flight WR. Either through FA or draft. We need to do this now.
  21. See I think it'd be hilarious when Peyton goes to Denver. The Tebow-maniacs are gonna lose their freaking minds, and will be entertaining as hell. I heard the Jags are looking for fans. What kind of trade value does Tim Tebow have though? Cuz the Broncos could just keep him as a backup. Although they have Quinn too. I'm not really sure about that. It's starting to sound like the Jags actually want him -- butts in seats would be the motivator IMO. That would be funny if Tebow sat the bench, especially if Peyton didn't light it up immediately.
  22. Yeah, it's a difficult question because it's hard to tell what the value of those players were in their prime. You can't just look at the effect of last year and project that back to previous years. You'll get no sympathy from me -- the Colts are the luckiest damn QB draft team in history. :)
  23. Sure, if they do something stupid like offer 3 #1's to move up 4 spots, then yeah. I guess VJax would have to take that. And I wouldn't want Emery to engage them in their yearly round of nonsense.

  25. Me too. If VJax wants to be RG3's learning crutch I would be very surprised, when he could play with one of the hot bona-fide NFL arms around.
