  1. Bernstein should work to cut ties with Boers. I might be able to listen to him on his own, or with someone else. Boers is unlistenable at this point. He ruins that show, completely. And the fact that Bernstein simply sits there and lets him ruin it makes it doubly frustrating. They're both much better without the other. I've heard each of them with sub hosts, and they can have rational conversations. They get together and it's just their same old schtick. It can be enjoyable, but it can also get really [expletive] annoying Yeah, the "shtick."
  2. Well, I'm not going to just declare they're done. But it wouldn't surprise me if they couldn't hold up defensively, resulting in an early exit. Hopefully they tighten it up and get (stay) hot. We do have a nice core of experienced playoff players.

  4. I don't know. I was hoping to see some sort of confirmation pop up, but I haven't seen it yet :(
  5. Eh, there are some Dodger fans scattered around the country. It's not the Cubs or Yanks, for sure. It seems like a lot of money to pay, but look at McCourt. He went from $420 million to $2 billion in just 20 years of ownership. *AND* he gets to keep part of the enterprise. Yikes. He made out like a bandit. And he sucked.
  6. Now I can let it sink in that we've finally matched up a top WR with a top QB. It will be fun to see this unfold. No more trouble, Brandon.
  7. I'm going with 75. And a few bright spots to fuel our future.
  8. I thought an implicit part of the deal was that Miller would pretend to be Cub fans when advertising in Chicago. I mean, of course it's a lie, but so many things are....
  9. I've never seen so much drama and intrigue leading up to a baseball season.
  10. I think those sneaky Miller ad execs pulled a fast one on us, and we were so far gone nobody cared.
  11. There is no one critical possession, any possession is critical in sudden death. And they are not guaranteed by any means to win on that opening possession. Both teams do get a shot, unless you give up a touchdown. Starting OT on defense doesn't = not having a shot. Yep, it's not as simple as just giving each team an offensive possession.
  12. last team the cubs played at wrigley last year Sure, but that's not the point.
  13. Forget the Tokyo game, did people realize the Marlins open with a 1-game series at home against STL? If Miami doesn't hit a HR in that game we'll have to wait almost 2 weeks for their next home game. It should be Zambrano that triggers it first. I don't think I can wait that long. There better be a Marlins HR Wednesday night.
  14. Yeah, but that's a road game against a top team. If he's not really ready I don't know if it's worth it to put him out there.
  15. None of this matters anyway. Everyone knows the season won't start until the first Marlins HR.
  16. For what purpose? It's not like they always had every team play at the same time. Opening day has fluctuated for years. There is MLB's opening day, but also opening day for every individual team, including home openers for teams that open on the road. I see nothing wrong with this sort of marketing concept where teams play in foreign locales. And if they do play outside the country there is little choice but to have it at odd hours and prior to other teams games since they have to travel so far. Personally if they ever do get around to promoting the game more in Europe, I'd love to attend a Cubs opener in Italy or somewhere similar. I enjoyed getting up early to watch the Cubs in Japan a decade ago. Opening day evolves and it's not like this sort of thing happens every year. Understood, but it's still weird when the season has started and the bulk of your biggest market doesn't even realize it.
  17. I don't like the idea of giving a team, who just failed to stop their opponent in any way, a mandatory 4-down drive all the way down the field to try to make up for their failure.
  18. It's never a good thing when our P.A. announces a Hawks POWER PLAY and the whole stadium rolls their eyes.
  19. We'll make the playoffs and then we'll see. It's hard to really be excited about this team, but who knows. Will Toews ever play again? Miss seeing him out there. This team is so streaky that I have no idea what to expect. I wouldnt be surprised if they were swept out of the first round, but I also wouldnt be too surprised if they somehow made the Western Conference Finals. I think the former is more likely than the latter though with our D and goaltending. Yes. If Craw doesn't find a groove, I'd have to admit we're ripe for a 1st round exit.

  21. I don't know. Did Okoye ask for a ton of $$$ or something? Not sure what is going on with this.
  22. Sadly he'll likely not be the same even when he does come back. Sent from my old laptop not using tapatalk
  23. HAH. You lose Derwood.
  24. Heck yeah. Confused fans on the border between IL and MO may find it soothing. $30 minimum.
  25. Maybe just ask Craw if he plans to suck, before the game. Be honest dude, you're thinking about sucking tonight aren't you.
