  1. Fail? That's a hilarious success.
  2. Alou tore his ankle off? I saw the Jenkins one. Live. The pain must've been freakish.
  3. I don't spend a whole lot of time harkening back to our glorious QBs of yore. No.
  4. I don't know. But I'm pretty sure Broncos fans would rather not have to find out.
  5. Seriously. I was certain his NFL career was over. Must be that delicious 41.8 QB Rating he turned in last year. He's up there with Jonathan Quinn and Henry Burris as worst QBs to ever wear a Bears uniform. Maybe they figure if Peyton can't play they want to at least ensure the top pick. In all seriousness Hanie could be a backup in this league. He has decent tools, he just forced way too many awful throws. With the right coaching and development he can carve a role as a career backup. He's not devoid of talent completely. That said, I won't surprise if he doesn't stick after this year and if he doesn't, his career is over for sure. It'll be better for him if Peyton stays healthy. The promise of Caleb is infinitely more appealing than the reality of Caleb.
  6. I was about to make a post that there's no way LaHair would actually be in the cleanup spot, but then I looked at the rest of the options and realized there's really no good option for any middle of the order spot. That's a really horrid lineup. At least it's kind of balanced with L-R-R-L-R-L-R-R?? That's all I got. That offense could, and probably will, really suck and struggle to hit for power. Things to prevent you from committing Cubbie Seppuku in the bleachers in late July, as we drop our 10th in a row and the beer money runs dry.
  7. I guess fans have been picketing headquarters and everything in Miami. Not a real good scene down there. I suppose from their perspective, they were about to pair up Manning with a top receiving threat, and now they've basically got nothing happening. Still, the logic just doesn't hold up. Even if the Bears were the only ones to jump at a trade, it's very likely others would have jumped in if he went to free agency. Therefore, the Bears got value by not letting it get that far.
  8. They'll pull it out of mothballs after we win it, don't worry about that.
  9. Half the people on here probably googled it because people said don't google it. Thanks for the rotisserie chicken visual. That'll help at dinner tonight.
  10. Good.
  11. Ross calls up a season ticket holder who then goes to the media with the story? LOL, I didn't know that's how things were done in Miami. It's either spin, or Ross is bush league, or both.
  12. Thanks Joe. Never would have guessed that.
  13. On a trampoline or bouncy house or whatever. It's doing something potentially dangerous that could put you at injury risk. And why does a fatass like Joba think he should be on ANY trampoline? Yeah, it's not very realistic to think people won't have fun with their kids in the offseason, including a trampoline, or a climbing wall, or any number of other things that could conceivably cause an injury. I've been on many trampolines. Not one time was there ever a thought that something like this would happen. Not even remotely. This is a freak accident. And that's it.
  14. Well yeah, of course. Where were you when IT happened? I could have been anywhere, doing anything, I don't remember. I blacked out from anger. I very likely threw a tantrum on NSBB, because that's just what I do. I nearly crashed my car. I'm ready to start the Forte/Bush tandem. I think Forte's angst will blow over & we'll wind up with either a great pick, or a nice combo @ RB.
  15. oh that pixie dust, she be blowin' away. on the wings of pujols migration west, the red blood is draining from st louie. there's a song in here somewhere.
  16. They don't have schools in packer land do they? The moral outrage is unjustified. It sure looks like Goodell was willing to kill it quietly. The Saints wouldn't let him. I don't know what about Goodell's prior behavior made Payton and/or Williams think they could do that and get away with it.
  17. Well yeah, of course. Where were you when IT happened?
  18. Does anyone know how much we offered Matt? Surely it was more than $7million in guarantees.
  19. No question.
  20. What I most understand from Matt Forte is that he was a little miffed last night so he tweeted it. Then the media picks it up and it becomes a huge deal. Before twitter there were probably many guys who were, for a short time, upset and then came down from it. The public would never have known. But now we get to hear it out in the open and turns into a huge story. I'll just wait for a while to see if it really means anything.
  21. Man, look at how scattered the East is. It looks like they could wind up with a 3 seed (Florida) that is worse than teams out of the playoffs in the West. The Keith hit looked bad to me. I think he's gone for 4-5 games.
  22. It's like Higgs Boson. It might exist, but we can't find it.
  23. Maybe this is a good year to hop in the car and visit our MiLB teams. I have no clue what is going to happen this year @ Wrigley, and really no expectations.
  24. Damn you Wisconsin. That was a horrible last possession.
  25. Careful what you read, until you see it on the field. People can say what they want. I'll wait until I see if Matt still has the same zip in his running before drawing any conclusions about the effects of that injury. As for the Bush signing, I'm alright with it although we still haven't upgraded our line.
