  1. Well that's what it talks about. There have been a few that actually did test for it and had their suspension dropped/reduced when the league investigated their appeal, but then some suspensions have stayed despite being appealed. Basically since the league doesn't make public what players test positive for there really is no way of knowing if they are telling the truth or not for what they tested positive for v. what they say. What I mean is, the first few might avoid "the stigma of steroids" that way, but after that, the general public won't buy it.
  2. Just let me know when the actual Bulls are back on the court (i.e. Rose returns)
  3. if players use that as an excuse, it will likely only work for the first few. Then people will catch on.
  4. Cutler in no way fits ESPN's profile. The only way they'll give him serious positive coverage is if he wins a Super Bowl, and that's because they would be forced to. Until then, expect more of the same. Frankly, it's a badge of honor to be panned by the likes of Jackson and Carter, IMHO. Throw Bradshaw into the same bucket. That deadspin article is fantastic, BTW.
  5. Matt Schaub on Suh's hit: Sure thing, Matt. http://blogs.suntimes.com/bears/assets_c/2012/11/Dobbins%20Jay-thumb-325x394-55382.jpg
  6. He'll be the first OL off the bench if Spencer is still hurt. I assume they'll start Webb-Williams-Garza-Carimi-Scott. I'm probably jumping the gun, but I wonder if Carimi plays well at guard -- they might just leave him there.
  7. [expletive] So, a guy his size, he's probably done for next year too right? I can't imagine bringing an OL back from injury in December next year.... I think he'll be back. I know he's not Peterson, but if he can play after the same surgery on New Years, then I would think Louis could make it back by at least October having the surgery a month earlier and not having to be concerned about cutting and planting. Bigger concern is he is a FA and do u resign him if u don't know if he's healthy until right before the season. Ugh, even with that I'm still guessing they won't bring him back then. Add Allen to the list of players who should really receive some kind of karmic whack in the face.
  8. This means they will definitely play next week, which is all I care about.
  9. 3 hours of pre-game, got to find something to talk about. The actual games can be covered in 30 minutes.
  10. He's claiming ignorance now, which seems to be the new way of doing things in the NFL after a dirty hit.

    NFL Week 11

There are seriously a handful of Packer fans shouting "Kuuuuuhn" even now.
  12. Yeah, well, Jeffrey said his knee was fine too.
  13. I'm sick of seeing our players cheap-shotted, that's for sure.

    NFL Week 11

Packers look like the Bears last week. Not even competing, really.

    NFL Week 11

    Very.

    NFL Week 11

They almost lost to the Jaguars. Most teams couldn't dream of trotting Crosby out as FG kicker, and expect to win. That's for sure.

    NFL Week 11

If the Giants plan on letting Packer receivers run free down the sidelines, it's going to be a long restless night in NY.

    NFL Week 11

The Chargers needed to stop the Ravens on 4th and 29 to clinch the game. Ravens dumped it off to Rice. AND HE GETS IT.
  19. This does feel like one of those games where the injury reports on Monday are a real downer. Hope I'm wrong. Bears did a nice job overall today. Did pretty much everything they needed to do in order to come out of those 2 tough games, and move on with the season. It would be a real shame if stupid injuries derail the club once again.
  20. Don't complain yet, he's been as good as can be expected.
  21. Defenders draped all over him and HE STILL catches it.
  22. Teams continue to think that they should throw against the Bears' D.
  23. Minny tested the Bears' D, and they lost. Nice pressure.
