If there was ever a time for a QB and coach to get off the mat, it’s Foles/Nagy here. Call a good play or two to cap this drive and make it a game.

Why do the Bears keep banging this drum? You would think at some point a coach would just say I’m not going to ram it up the middle constantly because 100 years of it is enough. It just seems like no matter what front office, coach, or players, it always comes back to running it up the middle way too many times. Anyway, Foles threw TD passes last week so this was just Nagy’s best playcalling for this game apparently.

They’ve started aerating the greens and shutting down some of the courses near me now. It’s likely I’ll have to drop my new hobby and pick it up again in Spring. I’ve concluded I need to have someone look at my swing who knows what the heck he/she is talking about. I’ve never taken a lesson that I didn’t get something valuable from. The YouTube vids are OK but not as valuable as live, active feedback. At least for me.

Thinking positive, it’s sure nice to have made a QB switch without losing a game. I’m not sure I’ve seen that before.

It’s not like the Bears have demonstrated a focused direction at the QB position over the years. I think they signed Foles because they knew where this would likely end up, and Nagy just pulled the trigger earlier than maybe he thought he would. I’ll bet those missed deep throws were a big factor. Who knows what else was happening in the sidelines. Maybe guys were getting frustrated and it just started to become palpable.

I just started playing as something to do that I feel comfortable with during the pandemic. I’m having a lot of fun but man, I didn’t appreciate how many things you have to do right to get a good swing on the ball. Right now my consistency isn’t there at all. But I like being able to go to the course and get paired up with strangers and just have fun. I feel like you get to see the better side of just about everyone on the course. It’s great.

Why is he saying there’s a question whether the Bears go with Foles? Incredible comeback by the Bears. Just perfect in every way. I’ll probably regret this but that’s how good teams win football games.

This aspect of the game has always been so frustrating to watch. I don’t see how that call could be changed but it just seems in general catches that aren’t clear tend to be called randomly.

That’s football now. 2 of their drives facilitated by roughing the passer where there didn’t appear to be anything the defender could do about it except decide not to try to sack the QB.
