  1. http://www.hoopeston.k12.il.us/jerkyb.jpg Hoopeston Cornjerkers with "Jerky".
  2. Really? I thought the "Jamar Williams has a load of potential" bandwagon ended two years ago and the "Jamar Williams is a bust" bandwagon is in full force. It's likely better than watching Hillenmeyer not be able to get back quick enough in coverage exposing the deep slant in the cover 2.
  3. Is there a worse team at challenging calls than the Bears? How the heck could an upstairs coach not have noticed that Hawk was well off the field? It was a change of possession, there was plenty of time to review it upstairs and know that the 12th guy was well off the field.
  4. I don't see why you can't pick up another SP.
  5. I didn't like the pitching up of him vs. Texas, so I pulled him.
  6. This. I don't think I'd be able to watch games with LaRussa as manager knowing he's going to overthink and overplay late inning pitching/hitting matchup situations, more than one runner on base situations, guy on third with less than 2 out situations, etc. Although I hate it when managers overmanage a game, if it leads to better in-game decision making as Larussa is a better manager than Piniella, I'd accept it. Of course, bringing in Duncan would be icing on the cake.
  7. I'm up 32 with a 2 start disadvantage which is not where I wanted to be with one of those starts already going to CC.
  8. I thought his slider was better than his cutter.
  9. Thankfully, it doesn't matter this week against DJ as I'm getting my ass kicked. Hopefully, Adam has burnt out his points for next week too.
  10. I don't see how you can't blame the WBC it's a horrible horrible event. I'm some jackassed sportswriter and I approve this message. While the WBC should be an amateur event and isn't a great set-up in general, Soto still had an opportunity to stay in better shape than he did to where instead of needing to both get into shape and get his timing after the WBC, it could've been just needing to get his timing down. He should be starting simply b/c he is the Cubs long-term C and Hill is a typical weak hitting #2 C, but he should've taken better care of himself going into the season, especially after how hard he worked out initially, got himself into great shape, and then took off production-wise.
  11. Fear me Bitches!
  12. All about next week....
  13. Fwiw, Washburn will get it handed to him tonite.
  14. Looks like I got two good starts from Wandy and Zachery to off-set Marquis.
  15. 30 points from Marquis...
  16. With the way he's been throwing, it's more important that Wandy is going 2X.
  17. Raw Dawgs at The Fighting Manginos Fuzzy Logistics at The Eyes of Texas Tootielicious at Harrys Budcrew Northside Baseball at Lynx Galesburg Hand Sanitizers at Valenzuela's Screwballs Quakers at Alamo Stealth Severe Tooterstorms at Saber Metrics NC Cubs at Tampa Bay Rays Bolded are the games where both teams have playoff chances still to be determined.
  18. I can give you the low-down on some of the players personalities, if you'd like.
  19. After this week, if I win one of two, I'll be in. If I lose the next two to Raw and NCcubs and both NC and Abuck go 2-0, it'll come down to points as far as who the final team is.
  20. The Northern League is probably among the best of the Indy Leagues given that they are one of the highest paying Indy Leagues with the best attendence, facilities, and roster rules that allow more veteran players than most other leagues. Their set-up is where they will have guys with 5 or years listed as veterans, rookies, and in-between they have rules as well. I would say the avg. age of an player in the Northern league is around 28-29 given the wide ranges of ages including rookies out of college and players in their late 30s who prob. played in the majors in the 90s (Mother Tucker is still playing I believe in the NL).
  21. Think they could move Vasher to safety? His contract is still at the point where if they cut him, they'll take a cap hit?
  22. Another outstanding defensive performance this week by me, thank you Liriano.
  23. Washington would be completely idiotic to replace Rizzo & of course, sound baseball decisions haven't come around too often for Expos/Nationals in the past +10 years.
  24. I always thought it has to be injury only for position players and relievers.
