  1. I can assume it's easier to scout college players compared to HS players, espec. big conference schools. The expected time to get to the majors foir a college player is 3.2 years for HS it is 4.7 years.
  2. He is the heart of that defense, losing Harris hurt more as far as the talent of the defense last year, losing Brown hurt the heart of the D. If he's done for the year... Tom Zbikowski, here's to likely looking at you.
  3. He knows his body better than anyone, he knows serious injuries as well. Obviously, it sucks, he's a hell of a guy and captain for them.
  4. He was tears after the game, which means he knows it's bad.
  5. When a QB goes 12-23 with 145, I can't call it a good game. He played ok, wasn't good/wasn't bad. I just can't become content with a QB b/c he doesn't make mistakes, if the best thing he did in a loss was no or very few mistakes, I can't call it a good game. Of course, Turner put him and the rest of the offense in a position not to be good. They weren't prepared at the start and didn't make any adjustments at the half.
  6. Rex had 11 inc. today. I would say at least half of those came on plays where he had zero time. literally none. hit before he reached his drop back spot. most of the rest came on plays where he was at least hurried, and on those occasions he smartly threw the ball away, or put it where only his receiver could get it. he was a little shaky early on, but that's to be expected with bad field position, and getting lit up on his first drop back. every QB is going to throw a bad ball or two in every game. I seriously don't remember seeing him miss any open receivers, accept a couple of side line balls where the made the safe throw instead of the aggressive throw, which were probably the right decisions. He hung Moose out to dry early on and the screens were off, he also fumbled again. I don't blame him for the offensive struggles today, but he play didn't good. He doesn't work well in conservative settings, he's a rhythm type QB and this offense isn't good for passing rhythms since they're still stuck in Bronco Nagurski's jock.
  7. It's stupid that they don't adjust to the defensive scheme at the line.
  8. I thought Grossman played as well as he can given the circumstances. He made great reads in the second half and good throws considering the hand injury. I want to see Grossman take more control of this offense, he's not a rookie anymore, he needs to become more vocal. Maybe I am taking my frustrations of the middle of the field being open all day on him, but there's never an audible, I'd kill for some shotgun too.
  9. While Grossman didn't cost them the game, he didn't have a good game, I know that INT was on Berrian and the playcalling sucked, but there were some open WRs he missed early on. That said, getting that running game going is the key.
  10. Who said the head? I said ribs which used to be standard procedure. Of course, I've been critical of Zambrano's antics as well as what Soriano and Ramirez do.
  11. UK has to beat one of the 3 teams: UL, South Carolina, or Arkansas to likely go to another bowl game.
  12. They mocked that clown sack dance of Merriman rather than posing. Something I never really got about that. Merriman is also not being "classy" in the first place on LT terms then. Merriman is a jackass, he's just a jackass that's a teammate.
  13. They mocked that clown sack dance of Merriman rather than posing.
  14. Plus this is a big game for both teams state wise. I wonder what the undre/over is going to be? Heck, even when Tennessee plays Vandy it's a good rivalry game. I'd put the over/under at 100.
  15. Stout run defense. Great games by Vasher (minus penalty) and Tillman.
  16. They're kicking that ball straight up in the air and the Bears realized after the last kick-off that if you line up 2 KO return guys, they'll kick it away from him.
  17. No, he'd last a half at best. He's a 3rd down/change of pace type of runner.
  18. More concerned with the turnovers than the yardage, especially given how good the Chargers defensive front is. Have they tried anything outside the tackles? They had a couple of bad screens, but I can think only think of one or two sweeps or pitches.
  19. Stupid, down 11, throwing slants well, and then trying to run the ball when they've been getting no push with 2 HBs that have coughed it up. playaction the god damn thing.
  20. That Oline can't get any push.
  21. Grossman has one pass play he does real well, everything successful revolves around deep slants and quick slants, they haven't run any quick slants. Of course, not being able to hold onto to the ball has killed any chance for a rhythm.
  22. That defense is dead tired, turnovers and just horrible play calling.
  23. If he plays it right, he catches it. If Pie is in CF, that ball is caught.
  24. Right now, the 3 main hitters have done well over the last 2 weeks. Lee, Soriano, and Ramirez combined have an OPS well over .900. Derosa hasn't hit for pop lately but done well at getting on. Right now, the dead spots are Theriot, Jones, and Kendall as well as Monroe. Floyd has been ok, Murton has been hot the last 2 weeks.
