  1. I don't think they do, I could be wrong though. If so, Hendry is the obvious choice in the NL and deserves it.
  2. Andrew Friedman.
  3. What's the report on Santana? If Lieber pitches on Sunday, I doubt he'll be charting pitches tomorrow.
  4. Hey Polly..... Who's pitching tomorrow and Sun. for Peoria against the Snappers?
  5. Damn Red Sox, they did this for only one reason.... To block him from the Rays.
  6. Draft report on Schlitter from '07.
  7. The '84 Cubs had hitters 2-7 all over 80 RBIs, we prob. won't see that again.
  8. Why would you say that? Kerry Wood has no say in the new owner and neither do the players. They should be careful what they wish for if they enjoy having their clubhouse to themselves. JMHO based on past observations. Just asking...but if Cuban wasn't involved, would most fans really care that much who has the winning bid to purchase the Cubs? I think not. I think they would, I don't think initially they would be able to make the same assumption as far as whether or not the new ownership will cont. to finance an expensive payroll as Cuban likely will. You've seen it here in regards to Canning and his group, the skeptical approach towards his relationship w/Selig. Also, not much has been mentioned of the current biders other than Cuban so little is known about them.
  9. I'm hoping they yanked b/c of how he has been used lately.
  10. :? I have no idea what is going on. I am pessimitically concerned given taking him and how he didn't look right all day.
  11. Z's arm action appears to be lower than before, it also seems that he is getting alot of flyballs.
  12. Poor Clement, he's my favorite among the '03 rotation's Fab 4.
  13. I had Jurrjens as my ROY from the beginning, I'll stand by him at this point. Of course, I had Clev. beating AZ in the WS.
  14. 2007 and 2008 have taken a little luster off, but it's not like he hit poorly for a SS, and he's still only 22. Thanks, I know the Rays are loaded on prospects. Would it be safe to assume that they are pitching loaded? I know of Price and Hellickson. Well, they had some quality bats but Delmon Young got traded and Evan Longoria graduated to the bigs. They were always deeper with arms (Price, Hellickson, Davis, McGee, Niemann). Yep, TB has stockpiled arms for this very occasion.
  15. He's not as highly rated as he was two years ago at this time, but going into the year he was a top 50 overall prospect. He hasn't hit as well as you'd hope at AAA, but he's still a very interesting prospect given he has the offensive ceiling of a 3B at SS.
  16. He's been able to stay healthy this year and always has had good stuff (#3 starter ceiling), just caught in a numbers game in TB. I doubt TB would trade both Davis or Hellickson with Brignac.
  17. The odds of Dunn getting traded just dropped with Griffey being shipped, despite Cincy being better off unloading him as well. Jocketty is out of his mind if he thinks he can get Hellickson and Neimann for Dunn.
  18. That appears to be the case, if Anderson isn't included, I expect him to play CF vs. LH'ers. I don't understand the move, to be honest. They need a SP and a reliever before an aging slugger.
  19. sweet, I had seen several ads for the game, but I never did see if it was going to be televised http://www.aflacallamerican2008.com/teamRosters.asp
  20. This Saturday is the All-American AFLAC game featuring the best '09 prospects, it will be aired on Fox Sports Net at 3PM eastern.
  21. It wouldn't matter beyond just general notes of the manager of the Isotopes from those games, Marlins scouts would not have seen him anymore than other teams, pro coverage is basically the same across the board.
  22. They likely didn't outscout anyone as far as grading him or figuring out his demands, with that said, the relationship between the area scout that has Indiana and Hendry is a very close relationship, dating back to their Marlins days. The scout does have more authority/pull than most area scouts, which is why I'm willing to give to more credit to him than Wilken or the Midwest crosschecker as he did his homework, knew what it would take to sign him away from FB, and was the given the ability to sign him at that price. With that said, the area scout the Cubs have in that area is an outstanding scout.
  23. Kendall's release is much more quicker and he's always had an accurate arm, while never having plus arm strength.
  24. what'd he do between 2007 and 2008? i saw that he was picked in the 37th round by the tigers out of high school. In May/June of '07, he graduated HS. In June of '08, he finished his fresh. year at Wabash Valley CC.
