  1. Do you want this? Because I can get it fairly easily. Sure, although unless you have PBP data, I think it would difficult to find out whether or not a pitcher hit his spot.
  2. Show me whether or not a rh'ed pitchers' command is off on a low and away FB or breaking ball after facing a LH'ed previously compared to after he faces another RH'ed batter.
  3. I would put Campusano in that stage as well as far as being a prospect. Castro has a good shot as far playing himself into a prospect as well, despite his age.
  4. Tubby Smith would be fine for Bama, he's good enough to get them competitive which is a definite improvement from they are now, but he's not good enough to get them to elite where they'll likely never be for an extended period given how it'll always be a far second to football.
  5. It'll be personal when the rays face the sabermetrics. It'll be like the stats vs. scout debate at BA, but I come out ahead looking better than gary hughes.
  6. UK won again as Meeks scored 27, but the big story was Harris fainting at half, he wasn't feeling well so it was prob. due to dehydration or dizzyness moreso than when he carted earlier this year.
  7. Considering how injury prone the core of this team is as far as Soriano, Bradley, and Ramirez, I wish they would overspend on someone Wigginton and put him in the Derosa type role. Start at 2B vs. LH'er as well as play the OF when Soriano and Bradley get hurt. Obviously this won't happen. If they want to look for someone in that role, what about Crede? I wouldn't mind Uribe, if they didn't have that role filled with Miles. Although they are different types of hitters, Uribe will likely have a higher OPS than Miles and is a much better defensive player than Miles.
  8. There's always space avail. in the Bears draft room.
  9. For the U of I fans with Comcast Chicago, I woud suggest watching Tues. night at 7:00 PM as Warren plays Zion-Benton which will feature Brandon Paul against 2010 Ohio State recruit Lenzelle smith.
  10. I'm extremely biased towards Thomas, I was talking to a buddy of mine who pitched in the NWL in '07 and said that Thomas was clearly the best pure hitter in that league. But, it appears he's suffering from the same thing he did his 1st two years at FSU as far as the high Ks killing his production. I just wonder if he has fallen into bad habits again as far as his swing getting long. He has more than athletic ability to play 2B with good range but has only fair hands. I hope he does repeat the FSL again and maybe they rushed him as far as skipping Peoria.
  11. Welocome back! BTW - Which team are you taking? I am now the Tampa bay Rays previously known as the Draconian Empire Yeah, I just received my '09 contract today. I like the name. I assume this means that you are still scouting for the Rays. If so anyone who is attracting interest of scouts in the Portland area? You'll have to go S. to Corvallis and Eugene for the elite players. Oregon State has the best kids with Jorge Reyes (RHP) and Ryan Ortiz (C/OF). Lane Comm. College has a decent player which is also in Eugene as Linn-Benton in Albany. As far as HS kids, there isn't much Portland, there's a C at Lake Oswego and there is a college kid by the name of Rocky gale who is a C at Portland. Btw, I spent a week in Portland in Nov. as I might have a job transfer and I loved it out there. Went down the coast from Cannon beach down to Reedsport. Of the communities around Portland, I took a liking to Troutdale just E. of the city as far as being close enough to the city without being in the City, I didn't see much of the stuff S. as far as Lake Oswego.
  12. The life of a Financial Analyst.
  13. When did you see him? It certainly looks like something clicked for him with the way he turned it on in the second half, especially in regards to making contact. He's got a good enough power swing that I think he could end up being a 20-25 HR guy if he continues developing. He's also selective enough at the plate that I'm not worried about his ability to make good contact. What I'm worried about is whether he'll stick in CF. He strikes me as more of a corner guy and I don't think he'll be productive enough at the plate to be more than average at best in LF or RF. When I seen him I thought he was a corner OF'er playing CF.

  15. I have no problem with delaying things on the weekends.
  16. Agree with both of these suggestions and as I mentioned earlier, if you know you might not be around PM your 1st choices in order to someone who will be.
  17. We did last year and will do so again.
  18. Mine is in the mail.
  19. I'm rooting for Utay, but I don't think either choice would be much different from the cuurent ownership. Everything I've read about Utay is that he is a big fan of the Red Sox method of operation.
  20. Ok, I've got you for Washington and jame.gumb for SF. I guess I should mention that I'm only available during business hours. The day of or the day before, just PM your top 5 picks in order.
  21. Go to hell. Calm down Raisin, there can be more than one per team. I don't want Raisin's help, he would take Michael Johnson (aka John Thierry).
  22. Go to hell. Get ready for Dickie Lyons.
  23. Give me chicago
  24. I'd put Matchulat in that catagory as well.
