    Seriously, what was that? i found myself checking to make sure i had the right channel and that i wasn't behind on my DVR or something I did the same thing. That really sucks. But what sucks more is that I am still at work for a while. Life of a fan transplanted to the West Coast.

    Unless I'm mistaken, the 25-man you're referring to was the wild-card game roster. The Cubs haven't revealed the LDS roster. Hammel will be on it as the 4th starter replacing one of the bench players or relievers. Yeah, I think you're right. That makes sense. I wonder if Maddon will add Haren too or instead of Hammel?

    Arrieta and Lester are definites, then Hendricks. Would Wood be the fourth guy then? I noticed Jason Hammel isn't on the 25 man -- would he not be available then unless someone is hurt, or can Maddon tweak the roster before every game or every series?

    Imagine if the Astros wind up winning the ALCS (I was actually hoping the Yankees would beat them in the ALWC -- is that wrong?)... it could be an NL Central/erstwhile NL Central WS. Here's hoping the Cubs represent!

    While this is true, TBS is on Sling TV which is only $20/mo and has the game as well. It's what I used. Sling also has a free 7 day trial you can use for the NLDS. Is that pretty much the story for the NLCS too? IIRC all NL postseason games are on TBS.

    I'm currently just subscribed to MLB Audio, and now of course I want to see the NLDS vs. STL. MLB shows two packages: a postseason package for $9.99 which looks like the thing I should get; but then there's this other package advertising "alternate camera angles" and no blackouts for $4.99. What the heck is this?

    does middle relief mean jon lester in another language? No, you [expletive]. :-) As Joe said, he seems to be peaking at the right time. But I do wonder/fear esp about Strop. If the Cubs can beat Pitts, I'm not terribly confident given the majority of his outings, esp at Busch.

    Middle relief is doing its screwing around thing, and defense has forgotten how to catch balls cleanly. Will there likely be a staff day one of these last few games? Not sure I want to see that.

    Sometimes I feel like middle relief especially just likes to dick around and see how far of a hole they can get themselves into before focusing.
