  1. Two unassisted outs by Wright. Good times.
  2. Maybe he'll get Joe's head cold...
  3. Tonight the spoilers are kinda nice. Good to know when good or suckage is going to come up a pitch or two before it does.
  4. So the Cub pitchers get 4-5 strikes and the Mets get 2. Yeah, that's fair.
  5. Two breaks going the Cub way, and it'd be 4-3. MYT a little.
  6. You know what I've really hated are the Mets jerseys these past two games. It looks Cubbie blue on the TV -- have to look hard to realize the orange numbers.
  7. Everyone was hysterical after the first Cardinals game, and the Pitch F/X data showed that the zone was consistent and barely more than a couple of inches wide. This one is probably worse, but it won't look as bad as the complaints would imply when the real data is posted. Well if the announcers are commenting on getting the extra room on the outside, there should be something to it.
  8. Gah. Swing a trifle late that was the pitch.
  9. LaStella to waive at air in 3...2...1... EDIT: well you did hit it, just not enough.
  10. Sounds like a frog to me for some reason. Cubs keep kissing and it's not turning into a prince.
  11. Collins sounds like he's giving a post-race interview from Talladega Why do they do that anyway? Gee, it's not like the mgr has a game to coach. Nice IF fly Riz. Sonofabitch.
  12. Oh why why why did Addy have to strain his hammy! Grr!!!! V frustrated!!!!
  13. weird stuff, man I read he's got a head cold. Medicine head calls, perhaps?
  14. I was going to say this but i was too scared I'd be blasted by the "Murphy is a scrub" brigade. He was probably the best Mets hitter over the course of the entire season. Yes, the power is a bit flukey but this happens in the postseason. Murphy is a deluxe platoon player having the 2 week stretch of his life. In tonight's Mets lineup he is about the 6th or 7th best hitter depending on if you want to account for the opposing starter and platoon advantage. Does Theo go for Murphy in the offseason, or is there already enough choices up the middle and/or a serious possibility he turns into lightning fizzle in a bottle once at Wrigley? P.S. Apologies for the messed up quotes.

  16. Next game I'm scrapping the TV and listening to Pat and Ron exclusively. The feed is tardy and I'd rather listen to our guys win or (esp) lose.
