  1. Yeah, this team isn't even close to a championship contender. The pundits who "underrated" the Bears on the power ranks, causing uproar from many fans, turned out to be 100% correct. The defense looked horrible. But even if we say the Defense just had a bad game, the offense gives them no chance whatsoever to make a playoff run. I'm sick of hearing its Cutler's fault. Rodger, Manning, Brees, couldn't have done anything today against the Niners with the Bears offense. We used to hear it was the lack of weapons. Now they have Marshall and some competent receivers. Wrong again. I'm even getting a little sick of hearing it's the offensive line. With good teams with good passing games, its not even possible for Aldon Smith to get to the QB fast enough because they can complete a quick pass. The Bears haven't had a remotely competent offensive coordinator in the Lovie Smith era. They couldn't outscheme a kid playing Madden on XBox.
  2. I think its highway robbery. The only small downside for you is that RG3 and Cam a somewhat redundant. But besides Julio, you aren't giving up much at all. Take out RG3 and Julio, and the next best players in the deal are Gore, Johnson and DJax. Plus, depending on your scoring, RG3 is at least as valuable as Julio as a keeper. You can probably flip him for someone Julio's caliber. You have Demaryius Thomas and Mike Wallace too? That's ridiculous. I can't see how that roster with RG3 at QB isn't a championship favorite unless you are in an 6 team league.
  3. You begin to appreciate Cutler when you see the sheer ineptitude of his replacements or see how much better he is than his predecessors. It's not fair to compare him to Rodgers, Brees and Brady. Not saying he's in their league by any means but Cassel and Flynn looked like franchise QBs as replacements in those systems. No Bears replacement has even looked remotely like he deserved to be in the NFL.
  4. Bulls vs. Celtics Let's get SSR's trolling comments out the of the way: If the Bulls win this game, it will only be because the championship contender Celtics, who were a few injuries away from the finals last year, clearly don't care about winning in the regular season. And oh yeah, DRose is stupid.
  5. We have about as much chance with Campbell as we did with Hanie.
  6. Why are they afraid of Hester? He can't do anything with this field.
  7. Need defensive td.
  8. Horrible. When did John Shoop come back?
  9. Well. If you told me Cutler wasn't going to get pressured by now I would've felt good about the offense.
  10. Look at J Jo bitch. And who introduces himself as J Jo anyways?
  11. Are they holding on every play?
  12. Not to take anything away from Foster, because he's very good, but a lot of guys can run real well in the Texans offense. L To me this game comes down to the Texans pass rush. There's a lot of confident Bear fans around but surely we've all considered the very real possibility that Cutler gets killed again like vs GB this year.
  13. This is interesting. There will now be data from the US as to what happens with legal pot. Everything from usage, crime, accidents, health data, etc. I've always been an advocate of legal marijuana but now we will get real US data rather than hypothetical figures.
  14. That Mays shot is amazing. Not just from historic perspective, but from a photographic perspective. Underrated, clearly.
  15. Not sure how they "rank" them, but plenty of iconic images here. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/specials/100greatestphotos/?eref=sihp&sct=hp_t11_a0
  16. I see no point whatsoever in getting annoyed with Simmons or anyone else in the media not giving the Bears respect. There are also people within the media saying the Bears are superbowl contenders. I can 100% guarantee, that if they win the next 2 games, they will get plenty of respect. And who cares about respect anyways? Games are decided on the field. And teams seem to play better with a chip on their shoulder. And personally, I'll be pleasantly surprised to see the Bears win this Sunday. So maybe I'm just as guilty as everyone else in not giving the Bears their due.
  17. Never mind. Yahoo mistake.
  18. Did something happen to Cutler? Why did Jason Campbell complete a pass??!!
  19. Are we going to do that thing again where everyone makes hilarious jokes about the Celtics all year like the NBA regular season matters and then they go farther than the Bulls in the playoffs? Because, I mean, it was funny last year, but I feel like it's pretty well-tread ground. How are the Celtics allowed to invoke the "we don't care about the regular season" crap? Like they're the NY Giants? You can't invoke that crap unless your team wins championships by "not caring about the regular season". The 2007 Celtics won 66 games. Go farther than the Bulls in the playoffs! Maybe that's a moral victory of the Celtics. I guess when you're so old and past your prime, moral victories mean something.
  20. Unfortunately, I agree with this. The Celtics are very deep this year, and I can't see the Bulls finishing with a better record than them. Obviously everything depends on when Rose comes back and how well he recovers, but I really don't see them finishing ahead of Indiana or New Jersey either. If I had to guess, I see the Bulls as the sixth seed. It would be fantastic if they somehow found a way to beat Indiana out for the division. I'll believe a Thibs coached Bulls team is bad in the regular season when I see it. They'll wait until the playoffs to be bad. And who cares about the Celtics. Like they have a chance to win a championship.
  21. Opt out clause. But true, Taj would probably be gone. Plus you have Mirotic supposedly arriving around then. It could get interesting. The Bulls are well positioned for 2014. No big commitments. Deng coming off the books. Presumably an amnesty of Boozer (you guys can cry about Reinsdorf it this doesn't happen). I wonder if they could add Love, another big FA, and Mirotic as well to go with Noah and Rose.
  22. Who here thinks that [expletive] LeBron is going to jerk the Bulls around again in 2014?
  23. Yeah, now that I think about it, you are probably right. This limits the Bulls being players in 2014 when Deng's contract comes off the books. I don't know. It doesn't seem like a bad deal to me. Decent big men in the NBA get paid. When Deng's contract is off the books and Boozer gets amnestied, then only Rose, Taj and Noah will be signed. It seems like they have some room to to maneuver. Plus, I think you can easily trade Taj's contract if needed. It's really not that much money for a decent big man. The coveted FA that year is supposed to be Kevin Love, so perhaps you don't keep Taj and Noah anyways.
