  1. lack of rebounds are killing us. on both sides.
  2. The question isn't why the prices are so high. The question is why they mysteriously came down almost $1 per gallon, right around the November election.
  3. Anyone else notice that the absolute nadir in gas prices was around the time of the November election? Does that bother anyone else but me? They came down almost $1 a gallon around here in the weeks preceding the election and have risen right back and then some. Just making a simple observation without any further knowledge about the reasons for it. But is it coincidence that the Republicans, who many people blamed for gas prices were on the chopping block? Or that the oil industry obviously wanted the Republicans to stay in power? If this theory is true, isn't it really bothersome that our economy would be manipulated for political gain? Obviously, it didn't work too well, but still. Has anyone else heard this "conspiracy theory" elsewhere? Enjoying my Prius in the land of $3.50 regular.
  4. Hey, Jessica Alba is in the stands.
  5. OMG, I can't believe the Mavs are going to go down 3-1.
  6. Psh, won't matter. The Warriors will win this series! Not saying they will, but they can definitely win it all this year. The first time I've felt that way since MJ. Definitely didn't feel that way the last 2 years. The East can definitely win it all. I don't care if it's the Suns, Dallas or San Antonio. The Bulls have the defense to play with any of them.
  7. Scottie is loving it.
  8. HAHAHA!!! It's OVER!!!
  9. Chris Duhon????!!!! You have to be kidding me. Nice!
  10. With all my optimism, I still think that they have to make a shot or two.
  11. You have a lot of optimism. How are you a cubs fan? :D Yeah, and I think the Cubs suck!
  12. After all the negativity here about the refs, missed layups, mistakes, they are are only down by 4 at the half. Miami is out of gas. They are done. And the longer the Bulls stay in it, the worse its going to get for Miami. Don't worry, it's ending here.
  13. Shaw and Zo 1/9 from the line.
  14. What a great pickup PJ Brown has been. But he misses the FT. :x
  15. Duhon... :x  The one thing I question about Skiles. Why so much Duhon? With him and Wallace in there, it's 2 guys the D doesn't really have to worry about guarding if they aren't near the basket.
  16. Relax guys. This Heat team is going down. I can feel it. The Bulls just need to loosen up a bit.
  17. Going into this game, I thought the Bulls would need 5. I'm feeling a sweep now. Miami comes out strong, and after the Bulls withstood their burst of energy, they just look beaten down. They are going down today.
  18. Agreed. I love the quote, but I put the blame on squarely on Jim Hendry. He's filled the team with players who have a history of not walking. Soriano, Aramis, Barrett, Jones- all good hitters. Never were guys who drew walks before coming to the team, how can we expect them to walk now? Blame Hendry. Regardless of what Dusty said, I just saw it as him sticking up for the players Jim Hendry gave him. After all, Dusty did coach the best walk guy in the history of baseball.
  19. I love it how the Heat and the media are saying how they beat themselves from the freethrow line in game 3. How about giving the better team some due for kicking their asses once again? I can't believe how the Bulls won on the road despite "beating themselves" with 18 turnovers vs. the Heat's 9.
  20. Go ahead and re-sign him. But I simply don't get the thinking that since they've identified the problem, all is well. That's nonsense. It sounds like he had a lot of damage, and shoulder injuries are notorious in baseball. I don't see any real reason for optimism just because he had a surgery. He had an arthroscopic procedure to "debride" (a fancy term for "scraping off junk) and "repair" (who knows what that means) his shoulder. It's not like he had a broken bone or torn ligament that nobody knew about that was repaired. We can all be optimistic, but I'd be shocked if he ever returned to the Prior who won 18 games with a 2.45 ERA. It's too bad.
  21. Awesome game! At least one team I root for isn't pathetically sucking now. And as for the "Bulls have no post presence" criticism, I just don't get it. I don't remember the Pistons having a big post presence. And the Bulls never did either. Bill Cartwright and Will Purdue don't count. As long as they keep outscoring teams like the Heat in the paint, I'm okay with their low post game. If they have an achilles heel, IMO, its the fact that they have no guy that can create a shot for himself when the clock is running down during crunch time. Gordon is the closest they have, but he's short and not the quickest guy out there. Still, I think the NBA is wide open this year, and wouldn't be surprised to see the East actually win this year. So I'll actually give the Bulls a chance to win it all.
  22. I'm sick of caring about this pathetic team. I give up.
  23. That's the right move there. That no-foul call when Gordon shot was just embarassing for the refs. The Bulls got a bunch more calls than the Heat did All around a poorly officiated game. Ticky tacks went both ways. The Heat will get more press because of their stars in foul trouble, but there were some horrible calls and no calls that went their way too. And there was maybe one questionable call on Shaq. It was not a one sided game in terms of officiating by any means.
  24. I LOVE IT! I haven't been this pumped about the playoffs since MJ. Screw the Heat. I hate em.
