Gee what an idiot. But I will say this- given his talent, Aramis could be way better than he is, and that's mildly frustrating. But then again, whole offense is frustrating.

No brainer on both sides. He'll be back, and he should be given a shot at the closer role. The downside is small, because nobody will pay too much, and the upside is Gagne or Smoltz in a good year. I'll take it. -

All this talk about Modernizing Wrigley and other ways to maximize revenue. The biggest way he will add revenue is through his relationship with the media. The media revenue should increase for the simple fact that the media outlet and the team aren't owned by the same company. He'll either do more to expand the Cubs own cable network like Steinbrenner has done for the yes network. Or he'll make WGN pay up. I think most smart owners would do the same, but Cuban would do it well. I want him to own the team so badly. Please Cuban. Buy this team. -
I still remember being relieved when he was up in the NLCS. I remember being scared when Cabrera, Castillo or Pierre were batting. Although he did burn us in the 8th of game 6, and that made it even worse.

Sullivan is full of crap. Making this whole steroid thing out to be a moral issue that should preclude Cuban from making a good owner. I happen to agree with most of what Cuban said, and I couldn't agree more that athletes are entertainers and we shouldn't make them out to be more than that. But even if you don't agree with him, he's only expressing an opinion. And with regard to his ability to be an owner, I couldn't care less what he thinks about the steroid issue. He's not going to buy the team and start injecting steroids into the players.

Why is everyone in the media so anti-Cuban? Has he ever been in jail? Has he ever broken the law? Has he ever mistreated his players or fans? He is outspoken and tends to blast officiating. Big deal. There are plenty of people in sports that deserve being smeared in the media more than Cuban. Someone give me one good reason, as a fan, that I shouldn't want Cuban owning the team. And someone tell me how Cuban could be possibly be worse than the Tribune Company with their pathetic track record in putting a competitive team on the field.

Well, we did get swept by one of the worst teams in the NL in one of the most important series of the year, so I guess this shouldn't surprise us.

Not with the ownership situation. I would agree. He's got another year just by default. Maybe Hendry will improve with a bigger bankroll, but I blame him for our pathetic offense.
