  1. And yet Pena spanks the ball the hardest I've seen in a while and it's just a measley double. Again. That ball was smoked.
  2. Why does this always happen to the Cubs? Crappy contact finds the perfect spot. Let's see if they can get a run with a guy on 3rd and 0 outs.
  3. \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :good: :good: :good:
  4. There is no reason why we shouldn't be killing Maholm right now.
  5. We are witnessing the first 60 pitch perfect game in the history of baseball.
  6. 7 pitches. 3 outs. Pirates continue Cub ownership. Amazing how last season can pick up right where it left off.
  7. I'm an idiot. I drafted Chase Utley not knowing about his injury. Who would you pick up? My team has a lot of speed. I could use more power, but I'll take the best available obviously. My backup is Tsuyoshi Nishioka. These guys are available: Neil Walker Chone Figgins Ryan Raburn Mile Aviles Placido Polanco Sean Rodriguez Juan Uribe What do you guys think?
  8. Yeah, I knew from the beginning of the season they would be the 1 seed in the East. :-"
  9. He's the one who stated that he would only pay the luxury tax if he had a contender. Pay up Jerry.
  10. 9-10 tonight Ummm. You mean 4-12.
  11. Damn. But he shoots FTs like Howard.
  12. Asik is playing a nice game.
  13. Good thing Howard can't hit a FT to save his life.
  14. What Dwight Howard did to Asik is the definition of posterizing.
  15. Agreed. But LeBron is a baby and probably won't go for it.
  16. Sure. An average performance by Bosh gets a W against a Bulls team that shot 41% from the field. And an average Bulls shooting night turns the game into a blowout. I like the fact the Bulls worked them on the boards. Sometimes the ball doesn't fall. I like our chances against them in the playoffs.
  17. LeBron might indeed be the best player in the league. But in terms of taking the last shot with the game on the line, he's not in MJ or Kobe's league. Not even close. I'd rather DWade have the ball in that situation.
  18. See, I'd say the opposite. Their lack of depth could hurt during the regular season, but all of the stars play pretty much the whole game in the playoffs and their best 5 is probably better than everyone else's best 5. To me, it becomes more of a defensive, physical and half court game. Not that the Heat can't do that, but they do better in an open and one on one game. For instance, they have a very low assist total. They aren't going to be able to just win with one on one basketball in the playoffs against better defenses who are playing harder than in the regular season.
  19. Clearly the MVP at this point. No doubt about it.
  20. Putting up 40 in a high profile nationally televised game against the best team in the league. I like.
  21. I'm really curious to see how the Heat play in the playoffs. They strike me as a team that's more suited for regular season basketball.
  22. I'm OK with the lack of respect. There's a big difference between winning regular season games and winning in the playoffs. That said, yeah, I wouldn't be shocked to see them beat Boston or Miami. Defense translates well into the playoffs, and the Bulls do that pretty well.
  23. What's the over under on how many pages this thread gets to. It could break the NSBB record if his free agency drags on. 17 pages would be just scratching the surface.
  24. I hear you. There's a big difference between 31 and 34. I'd want to see some proof if possible.
