  1. So it looks like the soft (salad) tossing lefty doesn't have the stuff to fool the Cubs now that they've had a couple AB's. (Sorry for that subliminal message :) )
  2. SORIANO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (That's a good way to avoid running the bases too hard)
  3. I blame the current score on the Edmonds rumor. It must have leaked to the players and that is why they look so lackluster tonight.
  4. Sun Times article (RE: Edmonds): I don't have to be positive about him because he's not on the team yet. I almost threw up a little bit though. I hope if the Cubs will dump him quickly if he sucks.
  5. Edmonds? A Cub?! It will take some work but I try to be positive about all of the guys on the roster. I wasn't even too harsh on 6-fingers or Hundley. Edmonds would be a little challenging though. I'm just too used to rooting against his team.
  6. Well. There hasn't been a Cubs no-no in my lifetime. Z has come closer than this game. I seem to remember one where he was extremely close. Let's hope he goes back to normal after a non-Z like 3rd inning.
  7. Wow. I need to reconsider the way I watch these games. Apparently there are some other sickos on here too. How could any of us be thinking of a no-hitter after 2 innings? Len and Bob were even guilty of it. What is wrong with us?
  8. CUBS WIN!!!!!!!!!!!! CUBS WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CUBS WIN!!!!!!!!!! HOLY COW!!!!!!!
  9. Nice inning from Z!!!! I would say that the good part of the line up is coming up for the Cubs, but I think there is some good in every part of the line up tonight. Let's get some more runs!!!
  10. Lee needs to get back to his opposite field approach with fastballs on the outside. It seems like he tried to pull that pitch early in the count several times tonight. He would have taken it the other way for a hit a couple weeks ago. I'm sure he'll figure it out again. Cubs are still looking strong tonight :)
  11. Good AB from ARam even though it ended with an out. The team looks back to normal with him in the line up. I think the Cubs are about to get back on track :)
  12. Fox will get his 1st W tonight? ...If you smell what the Cubs are cookin'!
  13. LMAO @ Len: "Somebody catch it....please." Cubs go to extras.
  14. Alright...let's try something new. Imagine Wood getting out of this inning. Now envision the Cubs winning. It's gonna happen!!!! (maybe)
  15. Nice AB from Fuku minus the result. Tie game going into the bottom of the 9th. Wood is coming in to redeem himself from yesterday.
  16. Patience paid off x 2. Go ahead run is on 2nd with a runner on 1st. StL boos their closer off the mound as Fuku steps up to the plate.
  17. Patience is back and the winning run is on 1st.
  18. Bright side-outstanding effort from the BP tonight. Now let's get some runs (please)!!!!!
  19. I'm sorry. I've been AWOL from the thread since the amazing Soriano 2 error inning. I'm back to being positive thoughh. Tying run at the plate. GO CUBS!!!
  20. Wow...Soriano pulls a Murton in LF...and looks like he is trying to cost the Cubs 2 games in 2 nights.
  21. Ugh...a swing and a Pie. Inning over. But....this is a great chance for Howry to rebound against the tough part of the line-up. Dominate them Howry! Then the Cubs have the good OBP part of the line-up coming up (everyone in the line-up that isn't named Soriano.) GO CUBS!!!!
  22. Ronny!!! (With lady luck on his side) bloops a broken bat basehit. 1st and 3rd with 2 outs and the EXTREMELY due Soriano AB.
