I'm not as skeptical as you, but I agree. This overconfidence is crazy. It's 1 game. How can anyone be so damn confident? Our offense hasn't hit anyone this series. Not just Strasburg or Scherzer. One thing I'm happy about based on yesterday. No more Madmen gifs. Good riddance.

I’m inclined to think the same way. But you wonder how long they can withstand these playoff offensive droughts. Just like last year vs the Dodgers and Indians? Yeah. You wonder if it’s ever going to catch up with them.

It would be a Dusty Baker thing to have his team blow a 5-0 lead in the ninth to lose a playoff series.

they're obviously very good, but they had ERAs in the mid 2s this season, it's not like they were flirting with no hitters and striking out 10+ batters every game. I didn't say it was all them, just that this isn't a case of the offense just going to sleep. I do think most of our guys seem to be pressing a bit. And the inability to realize Strasburg was going to the low change in almost every two-strike count tonight was pretty infuriating. Every time it got to 2 strikes they should’ve kept the bat on the shoulder.
