  1. He made some good pitches. He couldn’t square up the pitches in the zone. And once it went 3-2 you knew the curve in the dirt was going to get him. Good CJ.
  2. So now fly ball outs for him make us happy. log off I’m rooting for him as hard as anyone else here.
  3. Ha. The screen name coupled with the post makes me chuckle.
  4. i mean it's been like 3-4 years but swing adjustments that clicked, apparently Daniel Murphy and him are probably shooting each other in the ass with the same stuff.
  5. Hindsight is 20-20. But I was hoping for lackey in game 1 knowing that the team is gassed and up against kershaw. Maybe lackey comes up big but a loss doesn’t kill you.
  6. Let’s see if it’s good cj or bad cj. Should know really soon. Like within 2 pitches.
  7. How much longer can Lester last. He is my looking good.
  8. Puig has had more good abs this series than the entire cubs team.
  9. horsefeathers the excuses. This tip the cap to the pitcher horsefeathers is beneath this team. That is 2008 cubs [expletive]. I was a big fan of the 2007 World Series champion Cubs. Yeah they won last year. That’s why I’m not tearing my hair out. But this is still frustrating. Because they are better than this. Horrible ABs. Relievers giving free passes.

  11. They keep missing hittable balls early in the count and getting eaten alive on pitches out of the zone when they are behind.
  12. Stupidest rule in all sports. Lose the ball in the end zone and it’s a touchback and other team gets it. Defies logic.
  13. Fair enough. Hitting good pitchers is hard. But he’s an MVP. You expect more from an MVP. He already has a pretty extensive and very mediocre playoff resume. Bryant hit .308/.400/.523 in the playoffs last year. He hit 3 home runs, one tied a game in the 9th inning, and the other 2 gave the Cubs leads in World Series elimination games. Yeah better than I thought. But his career playoff ops is .793 with 43k in 119ab. So I’ll stick with mediocre.
  14. You are very close to realizing that you're looking for something to be wrong because the game was frustrating. Hitting Scherzer, Strasburg, Kershaw, and Jansen(15 of his 25 PA) is hard. You'd hope he'd do better of course, but he also has 5 hits(2 XBH) and a walk in 6 games. He hasn't been a black hole. Fair enough. Hitting good pitchers is hard. But he’s an MVP. You expect more from an MVP. He already has a pretty extensive and very mediocre playoff resume.
  15. What’s up with Bryant? Has the not clutch thing been debunked? Because it sure seems that way. What about the theory that his numbers are disproportionately based on destroying bad pitching? Does that hold any weight? God watching him flail at strike 3 in the dirt is getting tiresome.
  16. The hitters better start hitting and the bullpen better start pitching. They got lucky to win the first series. Their luck won’t continue if they keep playing like this.
  17. Lol he's 1 for 4 in the first game of the series. I meant playoffs ok?
  18. That home run was robbable by a decent fielder.
  19. How is it that the entire bullpen cannot throw strikes.
