You do realize Russell swung? I was referring to the ball outside that he called a strike when his zone has been inconsistently tiny all night. And Russel swing and missed at another identical pitch to make it strike 2. 2-0 vs 1-1 is a big deal. Just like it was a big deal that sogard got a pitch right down the middle called an ball right before his game tying hit. Yeah JAVY!!

Yeah horrible at bat. But the worst decision was not bunting with Rizzo. Whatever the sabermetrics say. There was one guy on the left side. They weren't expecting it. It would've been a hit if you're going to bunt don't do it in the second inning of an meaningless game. The manager that told Javy to bunt in ina playoff game with 2 strikes should've told his MVP to horsefeathering bunt there.

I'm kinda pissed rizzo didn't bunt there. Shift on with huge space on left. At worst it's a sacrifice. At best it's bases loaded no outs.

He's coming over. Also, no team will have more than $3.5m to offer him as a signing bonus, so this really isn't about money. Um yeah. I'll believe it when I see it. It's always about money. Unless there is some loophole to be found, it will cost him hundreds of millions of dollars to come over 2 years earlier. It's not like KD or LeBron taking $5 million less. This dude would literally be paying $100 million for 2 years. I don't know this guy. But when you hear stuff like "its not about money", "you can live well on $3 million". I don't need to know this guy. I know people act in their own self interest. It's like predicting someone is going to walk off a cliff. You wouldn't do it. I wouldn't do it. Nobody would do it. Including this guy. -
I wouldn't hate it if Glennon keeps starting. I want to see Trubisky like everyone else, but this season is lost. The team is banged up. There are no receivers. If Glennon leads them to another 3-13 record, Fox will be gone and they can get a king's ransom for the pick.

Unless there's a clever way to circumvent the rules, he will not be playing in the MLB. Nobody is dumb enough to leave 9 figures on the table over 2 years. -
If I'm Ryan Pace, I'm fine with Glennon starting for a couple more weeks in tough games that they aren't going to win anyways. If I'm John Fox, I'm thinking I'm fighting for my job and Trubisky gives me my best chance of winning so I would just play him.
