    marmol was the best. two true outcomes pitcher to the greatest extent such a thing could exist. nothing but k's and bb's and occasional broken bat flairs. it didn't even matter who was hitting, everyone had the same chance at scoring. yeah same as juan cruz

    Don't get me wrong, I love how our team has performed in this young season, each game is fun to watch when they are down you dont turn off the TV or webcast cuz they CAN and will fight to come back... but... Just was thinking if Maddon was the cubs manager in '03 would our amazing pitching back then have had uber careers? Would the batting order have gave us more runs?

    not from my closest friends if i say [expletive] like that they know what a [expletive] dork i am about this and know i (kinda) know what i'm talking about but coworkers and randoms at the game have no idea the dong fury that awaits Yeah I have some of that. No outright "no way," but it's a lot of "Really? I don't know, man. I hope you're right. That would be awesome." even my mom still dont believe me lol she says "tell me that in october" ... and i got kinda trolled hard on facebook

    i never was a doubter of bryant and i know he just like every player will get into a slump (albeit probably adjust at a nice pace) but he is my new hero lol btw most other parks a couple of those doubles may have been homers

    maybe he is playing chess with each hitter? I see how montero could have helped his K rate with framing. Another thing i like about him is since he isnt throwing extreme nasty stuff i think the chances of him staying healthy are pretty good

    Hendricks pitched great last year with Castillo so I dont know if it really matters when your super mega control pitcher

    yeah back to Hendricks i mean how to you rate being a brainiac in regards to tools? i think that factor and the control is what makes Hendricks a good pitcher. Gotta say, I'm a reasonably bright guy but it never really helped my pitching all that much. I think most of the credit goes to his command and the quality of his pitches. Making adjustments is more of a mental than physical thing i think.

    After hearing Jed Hoyer and Joe Maddon talk on local radio interview (670 Score) I kinda get why Ross is around, not just his "Lester Catcher" thing but his ability to be a clubhouse leader, someone that the kids listen to. Jed went on to say that Ross will end up being a major league coach/manager for a long time after he retires. With the recent changes on the roster, aside from the fact our C position offense inst great, there are enough bats in the lineup to knock em in if they can manage to get on base. .... Who plays CF if Fowler needs a day off? Denforia?

    ppl can say small sample size and blah blah blah but a guy like lester with never having a serious injury despite what you might say i feel like he his arm isnt what we paid for... he should be that 3rd starter. yeah call me crazy
