Agreed, June is going to be a tough stretch June 1-3 at Marlins June 4-7 at Nats June 9-10 at Tigers June 11-14 Reds June 15-16 Indians June 17-18 at Indians June 19-21 at Twins June 22-25 Dodgers June 26-28 at Cards Hope we can go 16-11 or so in this stretch lol - "Man is our schedule tough this month. Look at all the great times we are going to play! I hope we can play at a 96 win pace against them." Thats what it will take to stay in the race man the Pirates are getting Hot Stl is going no-where and the wild card (mets, giants, etc) arent either

like some other posters said, I really dont want the cubs to trade some of the high ceiling bats in the division (like baez or even McKinney) because it WILL come back to haunt us for years.

Castro's production isnt guaranteed, he had some great years and a bad year mixed up.

I agree; his continued presence the 4-spot is baffling. Not that it's news to anyone here, but among qualifying Cubs hitters, Castro ranks as follows: wOBA: Last (.278) BB%: Last (3.7%) LD%: Last (16.4%) GB%: First (60.3%) Soft%: First (24%) He might be the least well-suited position player to bat in that spot. Move him down until he gets right. This is just so depressing to read. He was someone I think pretty much everyone just assumed would be a lock to be productive. yes and ppl were so upset with my expressions of castro a while back. too bad his trade value is probably half of what it was during the offseason.

Yeah probably more Boras propaganda but the Ricketts did say that the cubs have money to spend midseason if they want. I guess its up to if Theo/Jed want to go for him or not. Either way I dont think he is a "closer" anymore, but might be a good 7th inning guy

hopefully hendricks CGSO tonight gives him joe confidence on his pitches and he can go at least 6-7 on a regular basis. a few games he pitched i thought he did a good job and got pulled early then the pen gave up runs which blasted up his era.
