    Castro

I do think that it is an interesting coincidence that both of Castro's bad seasons are on years that he had a newborn baby with his girlfriend. Baseball players are real people too, I know having a baby can take your mind away from time to time. Its a fact of life.
  2. Yeah. I mean, look at guys like Andre Rison or Scottie Pippen. Ball professionally for a while then go live it up like Warren Buffett. Seeing as most pro-athletes are retired well before their 40th birthday, isn't that pretty much what all of them do? I mean aside from the dumb asses who blow it all on moon pies and penny-whistles. You cant stereotype a black athlete like that its just wrong.
  3. Yeah, I don't quite understand the "seller" sentiment with them. They Prolly trying to get a fleece deal like Theo pulled on beane
  4. His bat at Catcher is Superstar calibur at lf its still great but good hitting LF'ers come a dime a dozen compared to godly C's. I think they keep Schwarber at C for a few seasons, maybe move him elsewhere after a few years if his legs start to have trouble. Everytime i watch Schwarber play i start thinking more and more he can do it, he dont look that bad, and omg that bat. Relatively speaking Montero's contract isnt THAT bad, i think the FO trades him in the Offseason.
  5. i like his wikipedia listing: what an odyssey. 10 major league teams, 17 minor league teams, 4 winter ball clubs, and a stint in taiwan. hey regardless of how bad he is and how many homers the cubs can hit off him, after playing pro ball all those years i bet he will retire with plenty of $$$$ in the bank..
  6. I don't want to say anyone is untouchable but I highly doubt they trade Schwarber unless its a deal that absolutely cannot be turned down (Chris Sale?!) I personally trade Montero in the offseason and give Kyle the C job with Ross as the backup in '16.
  7. So when we play that one game playoff vs. pittsburg we are going to lose now. A-Ram is a cub killer.
  8. you dont need to watch the game for that.... www.roscoes.com
  9. Im sure Loria would take the cash and make some purchases from one of El Chapo's agents
  10. Proven by the way he spells his first name. as a real matt/matthew, can confirm. The only real question is did that spelling make him a douche, or were his parents aware at the moment of birth that he was a douche, and thus gave him a douchey name. Lol i didnt realize his history, after a little search wow... White Trash version of Milton Bradley ? Lol
  11. Rumors abound about this guy lately, looking at this stats he doesn't seem that great this year but he did good for Cincy. I guess he would be a better option at 5th starter than what we have now. Does this seem like the type of modest move the FO would do to you guys? They wont overpay for a rental, but this guy prolly wont require an overpay at all? Thoughts?
  12. Would nottingham comp to a guy like Zanguis maybe?
  13. If Kazmir was that cheap, Latos would be doable and cheap. They just need a 5th starter running beeler/wada/other crap AAA pitcher out there for the stretch is no bueno
  14. that's actually a really good idea, let's go get a couple young #1/#2 starters i think that they prolly couldnt pull it off until the offseason though, just a gut feeling here no logic involved.
  15. I agree. Why continue to lead the race for the 2nd wildcard and get into the playoffs this year, when you can get into the playoff NEXT year?!?!?!? LOL well when the cubs get the 2nd wild card and the kids experience the post season (rizzo included) for the first time they will be THAT much more prepared to own the NL for the rest of the decade. Personally, I want the Cubs to sell this week. Trade Hammel, Fowler, Montero and anyone else who isn't under 25 and under team control for 10 years. I'm 100% on board with this line of thinking. That would be interesting, my gut tells me if they can get a young pitcher or 2 that can be at least hendricks level they could still get the 2nd wildcard.

  17. You're offering an insane amount for 2.5 months of Price. The going price will not be anywhere near that high. Castro is a dump of salary and McKinney has no place on the cubs... he cant play CF.
  18. No, keep all the bats. DONT TRADE BAEZ unless you get a TOR young pitcher in the deal.
  19. I dunno, considering ppl say McKinney cant play CF, i'd give him as main piece for Price Something like McKinney Edwards Lake Castro for price and Vogelbach Lake Olt for Zobrist
  20. http://www.baseballessential.com/news/2015/07/22/report-cubs-trying-cole-hamels-offering-starlin-castro-javier-baez/
  21. Jason Stark reporting Castro and Baez + A level prospects for Hamels ---- who the fck will be the 2b?
  22. I can't wait till they include all international prospects in the draft process. I think it would level the playing field and teams like the Dodgers wouldn't be able to go out an buy a team from Cuba!
  23. back then alot of baseball players were also football players growing up in high school and stuff it was just different back then *** also rednecks ***
  24. How many errors do you have the Reds committing to get the Cubs two runs with this lineup? it will have to be at least 2 in the same inning
