Why is Grimm still on the team?

He's probably going to cost next to nothing in terms of prospect cost. So if that's the case then it makes more sense to go after him then Avila since either way they will both just end up being a backup catcher.

He can stay as long as she is willing to.

Whoever they pick, Hendricks is going to knock them off the roster in 48 hours or so. Given that Grimm threw 43 pitches yesterday and Edwards/Strop/Rondon all threw 15+, it's probably a better bet that Pena can be helpful(even only as insurance) than La Stella's pinch at bat would be. I would have gotten rid of Grimm instead of LaStella but oh well.
