Lee was swinging at a lot of Uehara's low stuff and fouling it off. That pitch didn't break like the others and was perfectly placed.

No kidding, what's this japanese pitcher's fastball actually? 90-92 would be my guess.

Limited range with an erratic arm. He's good at the flashy plays, but that's about the extent of it.

embarassing? Isn't this the 2nd inning? They aren't exactly crushing the ball - it would help if the US played its best defense. That left side of the IF really is rather weak defensively.

Box Score Ouch, looks like Hill had a bad day. Kinda sucks that you can't see which players combined for eight walks on the Cubs, though.

You know he's doing this to "prove" that he's not on steroids. The Olympic-level drug testing that comes with the WBC would likely come down upon him. Considering he probably hasn't done steroids since his mysterious knee injury popped up, he likely would test negative.

See, I think it's fun and neat to watch; especially with guys playing for these teams who are relative unknowns. I really do enjoy watching baseball. But...I'm not going to get worked up over it. I'm not going to fly off the handle if certain players aren't in the lineup. If a certain player isn't performing well, I won't jump down his throat; especially considering this is essentially Spring Training. Since that's the case, I'm going to treat these games exactly like I would with Spring Training games.
