I'm just praying some team out there puts in a claim for Edmonds so that he doesn't clear waivers. It wouldn't be the worst Cubs signing of all time. I'm not saying that because I like Edmonds. I'm saying that because, having grown up with this team, I can always be assured that, no matter how dumb they've gotten, they have always had dumber moments in the past.
