  1. Maybe Vitters to Peoria with Smith finally moving up to Daytona? Doesn't sound like it. Chen to Daytona, Johnston to the DL, Rundle and Muyco to Peoria. Link
  2. I enjoyed the email Bill Simmons got from a reader who was upset Chris Wallace denied everyone the Gay-Love era with his insane trade.
  3. Kroeger wasn't one we developed. He was waived by the Diamondbacks, picked up off waivers by the Phillies, granted free agency, and ended up on the Cubs. He's basically been in AAA since 2004.
  4. Parker was at the edge of my radar. The guy was doing really well in Peoria, but he was doing it as a reliever and was a bit old for the league. Had he moved up to Daytona and repeated his performance, I would have taken more notice. Apparently he was promoted to Iowa due to Iowa's two double headers in two days. No corresponding move was made to replace him on the Chiefs.
  5. That's pretty bad, but his minor league numbers and youth make me think he won't stay that bad.
  6. I'm instituting a new policy for the DSL games since I know next to nothing about any of the guys down there. I don't know who the bonus babies are, nor do I know what kinds of ceilings and projections they have. So, rather than play a guessing game and list guys based on age, I'm going to keep it simple. I'll list their box score links, but won't provide a breakdown of the player performances. If there is support for listing certain players, I'd be amenable to listing them. For now, I'll just stick with scores and links.
  7. Blake Parker apparently got promoted from Peoria to Iowa. Okay then.

  9. He can't hit lefties worth a crap. Link It'd be an idea if we had another Reed Johnson.
  10. Rebel Ridling is hitting the cover off the ball. Something tells me he's not long for Boise if he keeps this up.
  11. Wellington Castillo hit his 4th HR to go with a walk and a double. :good: Robert Hernandez had a crappy outing, complete with 4 HRs in 4 IP.
  12. Words fail me in describing just how sheerly awesome the box score for the AZL Cubs game is.
  13. He was converted to catcher. that would explain why he played third base today. He's not the full-time catcher, at they get moved around down there. It looks like he last caught on Sunday and Monday, batted DH, and is now playing 3B today. i guess my beef is that he's really a non-prospect at this point and he's taking playing time away from somebody who might be. It's Mesa. I wouldn't worry so much about it.
  14. There's a lot to like with Castillo. I'm curious to see how he responds when he hits an inevitable slump.

  16. The weather sounds bleh out there. 59 degrees and partly cloudy? I'm guessing warmer weather would help the hitters a tad bit.
  17. "Kuofos isn't here, but it's like he's here in spirit because he's so big!"
  18. "Brook Lopez not know. Brook only pawn in game of life."
  19. god they sound [expletive]. If you put Brook Lopez's voice and Joe Alexander's voice together, you'd get Brian Urlacher.
  20. Robin looks and sounds stoned.
  21. Awwwwwwwwwwww, his mom is so proud of him and loves him so much. That's sweet! No, I'm not being sarcastic.
  22. Has there been a pick the ESPN guys haven't liked yet? Seriously, these guys are just sucking up to everyone and aren't questioning any of the picks or philosophies.
